Realizing in late afternoon that we had missed the check-in period (08:00-13:30!) we were luckily "rescued" by a considerate neighbor from another building who made a phone call in Italian and we were then let in to our room. Nothing special about the facilities and the included breakfast meant a coupon for coffee and a pastry at a cute place down the street. The location, within easy walking distance of the Duomo, train station, etc. is its greatest asset.

This place is right next to everything and such friendly hosts it's a joke! Came to Italy to propose and Le Seggiole was a huge part of the Italian romance. The restaurants that were within walking distance and not to mention the monuments were a blessing in disguise!

I love this b&b. Its new and clean. Bed is comfortable. I hv a double with private toilet. Its great. Price is reasonable. Location, its not near to ponto vecchio, but its walkable. Its quite enjoyable to walk around florence as long as you are only walking around the city centre. Overall, there is no complaint and the owners tried their best to assist us in anyway they can. Its a 5/5 rating for this b&b.

After reading the reviews my husband and I decided to stay at this B&B. We took a cab from the Sta. Maria Novella train station, it was about a 7 minute drive and around 11 Euros. Once you walk in there is a moldy smell to the building and then you realize that your luggage has to be carried up four flights of stairs. Once we made it upstairs, we were greeted by our hostess Claudia, she was very friendly and made us feel at home. Our room was clean and it faced the street. The noise in the evening makes it very difficult to sleep and since the window needs to be open because there is no air conditioning sleeping here is not an option. The location is central and within walking distance to most popular attractions. However, you are so tired from lack of sleep that you wish for a nap but again noisy during the day too. We would not stay here again.

Ended up here on a recommendation and overall very happy with my stay. The hostess was friendly and very helpful and the room itself was great. You can walk everywhere in Florence and the hotel is very well situated. The only draw back would be a lot of street noise at night so take your ear plugs.

Le Seggiole is a fantastic place to stay. Fantastic not only in terms of location and hospitality, but also in the very genuine Florentine experience it offers to those who stay there.

We took a cab from Santa Maria Novella train station, although we needn’t have. The drive was about three minutes long – so could be easily walked in, say, 10-15 minutes.

We were welcomed by Ulrika, who might just be the friendliest and most attentive B&B host I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with.

The B&B is set right in the middle of Florence – literally a stone’s throw from all of the major attractions. There are also some great restaurants and mini-marts in the immediate vicinity, which makes it easy to stock up on supplies ahead of day trips and tours. Also worth noting the area feels very safe and secure, even when walking the streets at night.

Ulrika serves a delightful breakfast every morning (pastries, cereal, yoghurt, juice, coffee etc) and is also more than happy to provide tips and advice to help you make the most of your time in Florence.

The room we stayed in was beautiful, with a comfortable double bed and its own personal bathroom. I should point out, however, we stayed at Le Seggiole mid-summer and our room was extremely and, at times, unbearably hot. We slept with the window open, though some nights this was no relief and it was hard to get a good nights sleep.

I loved our time at Le Seggiole – with a little bit of air-con it could be heaven on earth!

Would certainly recommend!

Fabio & Ulrika were so nice, helpful and fun. We really enjoyed talking with them. The room was a great size and comfortable, breakfast was good, and the location was safe and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. It was a terrific place to come home to at the end of a long day exploring the city. We plan to recommend B&B Le Seggiole to friends traveling to Florence, and we would be more than happy to stay here again if our travels bring us back. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
