“Unbelievable Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 December 2013

My wife and two sons and I booked this tour though our travel agent before coming to Florence. We went to a small biscotti store, a fabulous bakery, the market for a cheese tasting, a wine store for a wine, balsamic vinegar and olive oil tasting, a chocolate store and finally a small café for espresso. Our guide, Karen, was warm and friendly, amazingly knowledgeable and most importantly flexible. She listened to our specific dietary requirements and planned the tour around them. Our two boys can get bored easily and loved every minute of the tour. This is one of the best tours we have taken, anywhere.

“Immersion in Florentine cuisine & life!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2013

We booked this tour shortly before our trip to Florence, and were we glad to have booked it! Martina (if I don't recall wrongly - it was a month back) was an energising tour who made effort to take care of the 4 guests (us included) on the tour. We love, love, love the places that Taste Florence planned. We lost the list they gave us, but offhand could fondly remember Forno, Nerbone in the food market, Vesti chocolate and the wine/olio/aceto speciality shop they brought us to. We never knew there's so much knowledge and charm to olio and aceto until we went on the tour! The 2013 young olio was so good - the bottle we bought is well utilised in the 1 month since our return from Italy. The aceto tasting also equipped us with some experience to buy some good aceto when we were in Venice.

They have some very good restaurant/trattoria suggestion in the list they provide too. I remember eating the best pasta dish at Alla Vecchia Bettola (restaurant listing no.9) - called Bettola pasta (or something like that). But note that it's a long, long walk away from the main part of Florence. My husband also loved Trattoria 4 Leonni and their impressive wine (sold by glass) as well.

All in all - a tour with Taste Florence is a wise investment of time and money while you are in Florence!

“Thoroughly Enjoyable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 November 2013

My husband and 2 other couples took this tour in October. In total the group was 12. Our guide Tina was amazing. She was the best tour guide we had on our 4 week trip of Italy. You could really tell she enjoyed her job, very knowledgeable and entertaining. This tour was a wonderful introduction to Florence, the areas of town, the food and culture. Be prepared, there is a lot of food, including meat, pastries, cheese, bruschetta, chocolate, gelato. wine ...etc.. I wish we had done the tour the first day we arrived. We would definitely recommend this to others.

“Delicious way to tour Florence”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

Four of us toured Tuscany in early September celebrating my sister's 50th birthday. I highly recommend the Taste Florence food tour. Our guide, Martina, was excellent; very personable, knowledgeable and welcoming. They remembered it was for a birthday and took time at one the pastry shops to sing happy birthday! Nice touch. Definitely don't eat before going heading out on this tour - tons of tasty samples and a great way to meet other foodies. Give yourself enough time to get to the meeting location as it was a little tricky for us to find.

“Taste Florence with Toni”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2013

Four adults in the 55 - 60 age range toured various small food shops in Florence with Toni of Taste Florence on October 23. Our group was about a dozen strong. The five-hour 'greet 'n eat' was an excellent way to learn about Florentine food and culture while walking around the city. Toni has an infectious attitude and really knows her way around the food scene. The places that she took us were so good that we subsequently revisited several of them on our own. I highly recommend Taste Florence, and suggest that you do it as early in your visit as possible.
