“Again!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 December 2011

I lived in Firenze 4 months and this is the best address I can give.

The owner, Tommaso, became a friend. He is so friendly and he will welcome you well.

2€ for a glass of Toscan wine + 3,5€ for the best Focaccia. How could you say no?

I have been going there at least once a week, it stays for my friends and I the best place in town.

“Perfect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2011

I spent a semester in Florence and one thing i will remember is this place! Tomasso, the owner, is the best! And the fooooood! If you want a huge panino with fresh toscan products go there! Wine is excellent too and you can drink at the glass every bottle you want ! But most of all it is the real florentine atmosphere..

“hmmm...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2011

Most places weren't open for dinner yet, but we were getting a little peckish, so we stopped by this place for a quick bite. (It was in the Time Out book with a good review, after all.) We had a panino and a crostino with liver pate, which, while they satisfied our hunger for a while, were not especially good...so we're not sure what the fuss is about. I suppose if you're having plenty of wine, it helps! Probably a bit unfair to rate a wine bar you've only visited at 5pm, I suppose.

“Excellent local experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2011

Everytime I go to Florence I try to have a moment to come over to this place. Is a great winebar with delicious crostini or a panini if you are really hungry! The wine list is huge and Tomasso the owner has a extended knowledge of all the wines in the area. This is the perfect spot for an aperitivo as is near the city centre but in a quiet street where only locals go. The crostini are delicious and made with fresh products as black truffle, gorgonzola or excellent meats! The prices are really good too and the fact that is still the lay back vibe of serve yourself, enjoy the ambience and then pay, is a big plus! I higly reccomend it but dont go if you want a touristy place, only if you want a real local experience, practise your Italian skills and join the layback vibe, stress not allowed here! :)

“Wonderful place for a quick lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2011

All'Antico Vinaio is a great little place to get a quick lunch. It can be extremely busy at lunch time with people crowded outside and inside. Inside they have a few bar stools people can sit on, but people are crowded in this tight space trying to order and pay for their food. Its much quieter if you avoid the core lunch period. The gentlemen who runs it is very friendly. This place has such a great vibe and he is one of the main reasons why.

Now the food is fantastic, but perhaps a bit salty. Every day I would order the roast pork and eggplant. Both have a nice kick with some chili pepper seasoning. They have some great cheese and self serve wine by the glass.

If you are looking for a inexpensive, quick and tasty meal in the heart of Florence, then this is the place. Just be warned, if you don't like crowds, avoid the core lunch period.
