We had seen kilometric queues in this small focaccia shop, and wondered what was the big hype. So in a very rare occasion the shop was empty, we decided to give it a try. The sandwich is exceptional for sure: very tasty, good quality and huge for the price (half a sandwich was enough for a light lunch). But then again, it is just a sandwich, so I don't think I would stand the looooong queues only for this. If you make a habit to go through this street during all the Florence walking, you might find an ocassion to enter it without long waits.

Howerver it really deserves the 5 stars due to the very good quality/price ratio and the nice guys working there that keep up the good spiritis and funny attitude through all the ordering chaos.

Hint 1: we ate twice here and the second time we went to the shop across the main one, as we had seen it had the same name and the guys were taking the focaccias and some stuff from one to the other. The two shops are actually the same, but the one that looks "newer" has shorter queues.

Hint 2: as we were overwhelmed by the options, we asked the guys to chose for us, and both times we got a focaccia with florentine sausage, peccorino paste and spicy aubergine that was incredible. We don't know if we could have actually have the right to an additional cheese choice or if they were trying to get rid of some product but it was so good that we didn't care. This combination is a very good choice.

I visited this place because of >4000 reviews on Trip Advisor, and yes it did not disappoint! was the BEST panini i've had . I felt the queue was longish ( 15 mins approx) but well worth it. Dozens of lost tourists who don't know what to get, the guys are super helpful and offer to help you pick. I had black truffle sauce with spicy eggplant, prosciutto, mozzarella. LOVED IT!

It is very close to Piazza della Signoria / Vecchio, so if you are in the vicinity drop by for this delicious treat!

For 5 Euros, this sandwich will go a long way. It was so huge it actually gave me two meals. For the budget conscious, this can't be beat.
Not only is it cheap, it's delicious too. Kind of salty, but it is delicious nonetheless.
It's very simple. Choose your meat, choose your cheese, choose your spread. You can get some wine if you want, and enjoy your sandwich with the long line of people here. It is very close to the rear exit of the Palazzo Vecchio and a very short walk from the Uffizi Gallery. You should check this place out after visiting those museums.

It took a 30 minute wait line to finally place an order in this famous sandwich shop. The smell of the sandwich and store was overwhelming. Not rank, just overwhelming. The quality of meats were fatty and not very appetizing. The sandwich itself was way too big to fit in a person's mouth without making a total mess. The unique smell followed me all day. It seemed to have gotten on my clothes. The sandwich was room temperature. It appeared everyone loved this sandwich shop except me. BYW, don't even think about asking for pesto . For the glutton at heart.

Lovely small wine bar / sandwich shop - let the guys make it how they see fit - grab a glass of wine and enjoy. Simple. Cheap. Friendly. Tasty.
