Description: RESTAURANT Nestled in a cozy and comfortable atmosphere in the heart of Florence, you will be served delicious, savory dishes that spring from our chef's creativity and will accompany you through a romantic and unique evening. A selection of the finest wines and the attention paid to each and every detail make our restaurant one of the most pleasant venues in Florence. Dishes are prepared using only the best available foods of the season. Particular attention is devoted to the presentation of every dish and to the intriguing combinations of flavors and aromas. A carefully selected wine will blend perfectly with the taste sensations created by our chefs. OSTERIA WINE HOUSE Soft light and the delicate scent of wild fennel wafting from the cellar create an atmosphere of pleasant repose for dinner at our enoteca-osteria (typical local restaurant), where traditional Tuscan cuisine based on typical salami, canapes and cheese, soups and pasta dishes, as well as the famous Florentine T-bone steak are the perfect accompaniment to a glass of good wine. PIZZERIA CANTINETTA where you can savor pizza and other items fresh from the oven accompanied by a glass of excellent wine, accurately selected by our sommeliers

“Good for a Quick Lunch”

The wine bar (separate from the restaurant) serves food at lunchtime and has its pizza oven on the go even out of season. The mixed Tuscan starter was sufficient for two people (you will not need one each) and the pizza and meat dishes were excellent. The only others eating with us were locals. the service was swift and pleasant. the prices were reasonable and there was an interesting range of 6 wines available by the glass from an enoteca machine. There was a good atmosphere and the room was interesting. We looked at the restaurant. The layout was rather cramped we were told that it was now rather a tourist haunt, despite being out of the centre. I would certainly go back for lunch, but make enquiries before spending an evening there if your time in Florence is limited. There are authentic local restaurants not yet taken over by tourists.

We have a great meal at this restaurant. The florentine steak was sensational. It was one of the best steaks we have ever eaten and we eat a lot of steak. The service was very friendly and prompt and the food was very well presented. Overall it was our best meal since leaving home and after spending a week in Paris and five days in Rome. Well done and a very enjoyable eating experience and good value at $160 euro for 2.5 courses (one shared desert) and a bottle of good quality wine from their extensive list.

“Homely and great food ”

What a lovely place. We have been twice in two days due to the lovely ambience and amazing food. The steak florentine was melt in your mouth and the tiramisu, according to our 11 year old, was to die for! The staff were very friendly and made for a great night out. Highly recommended.

“*Uniquely Tuscan dishes in an intimate atmosphere*”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 November 2012

I recently had dinner in the "Ristorante" section of BoccaNegra. We ordered an appetizer which was recommended by our server which was innovative and delcious. It consisted of artichoke stuffed in a filo dough type flakey layer with grilled pecorino toscano cheese and mandarin oranges. Both of our entrees, roasted duck with broccoli rabe and "cinta senese" (roasted baby pig in milk) were unbelievable. You can order the house red by the glass, or pick from a wide array on their phenomonal wine list. The atmosphere is romantic and intimate, with candlelit tables, and superb service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special evening out.

“Amazing food, amazing people”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 November 2012

Every time I come here, I make new friends. The staff is amazing. The food is even better.
The tagliata is to die for. Basically anything with meat. Be it the coldcut platter, the tagliata, the bistecca fiorentina. They have great wines too!
The price can get pretty steep if you don't watch yourself.
