Just returned from a 4 night stay in Florence where we booked into the ground floor studio apartment at Palazzo Belfiore. We were very happy with our stay and wish to thank Daniela for her friendly and professonal customer approach and for making us feel at home.
Our room was huge, very high ceilings and lots of period detail, as shown in the photographs on their website. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a nice ambience, although it was quite dark, being on the ground floor overlooking a very narrow street. This could be however an advantage in the summer as it was pleasantly cool.
The location is brilliant for travellers who want to experience a more authentic Florence, away from the crowds and yet very close to the tourist attractions: it is literally a 5 minute walk to Ponte Veccio and there if also a convenient supermarket very nearby where you can do the shopping.
Noise was minimal, considering a ground floor apartment and lively Florence, the Palazzo is situated in a little side street which also has a cooking school and is not far away from Santo Spirito church and plazza: really nice little restaurants there and lots of artisan workshops! Daniella is very helpful in recommending places to go to and showing everything on the map.
Thank you again! Agata and GraemeMore
