“Beautiful home away from home”

I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at Palazzo Belfiore. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, Frederico took such good care of us. He arranged a taxi for us from the train station, welcomed us warmly and genuinely, even helped us with our embarrassingly substantial luggage, gave us a packet of helpful information, and spent time sharing great restaurant recommendations, things going on in the city during our stay, insider tips for the best places to visit and even the best views of the city at sunset. When we arrived, he even showed us around the apartment and gave us a complimentary welcome bottle of wonderful local Tuscan wine.
The apartment was truly fantastic and perfect for our family- rustic, old Tuscan charm with beamed ceilings, rustic wooden furnishings, tile floors and loads of modern comforts like 2 showers, 5 comfortable beds, modern plumbing, and reliable wifi (all 3 teenaged daughters were happy). I could have moved in and stayed forever. It was very clean and fresh and also especially well equipped- ample fresh, clean linens and towels, full kitchen set up with several pots and pans and a moka coffee maker (so no rushing out to buy dish soap or a kitchen knife, which I have done many times staying at other holiday apartments), stove and microwave, refrigerator, and even an efficient and very handy washing machine (of course most European households don't have driers, so clothes are line dried). Our apartment was on the uppermost floor- though this may not be for everyone, since there is no elevator and there are lots of stairs, I was grateful for the extra opportunity to burn off some of that exquisite pasta I enjoyed every single day. ;) The apartment was comfortable and reasonably quiet, especially given how close it is to everything, very safe and absolutely charming. We will remember our stay at Palazzo Belfiore for many years to come, and if we're fortunate enough to return to this beautiful city, we will definitely be back for another wonderful stay at Palazzo Belfiore.

Palazzo Belfiore is a perfect place to stay when you visit Florence. Located in a charming area, in walking distance to shopping area, museums, churches and parks. We recommend the atmosphere at Piazza della Passera just around the corner, with several restaurants. We were 6 women staying at the apartment Lorenzo Il Magnifico for 3 nights, we slept well and had a really good time. Federico and his team met us at the bus station, and took us to Palazzo Belfiore. Wine and roses met us in the apartment as a warm welcome. At our next trip to Florence, we will stay at Palazzo Belfiore - No doubt! The service from Federico was excellent. He's charming and helpful. We sure will come back.

When looking for a place to stay in Florence, we stumbled upon Residence Palazzo Belfiore and decided to book Apt. Lorenzo Il Magnifico for 4-adults, based on the fact that it was cheaper than booking two hotel rooms in a centrally located area and also, to experience a more "local" stay.
We're soooo happy we did!

Right after we booked the place, we got an email from Federico at RPB asking about our travel plans. He helped us with the planning and arriving at Florence; also, with the garage to park our car once we were there. Also, when we arrived there was a bottle of wine and some flowers, because he knew we were celebrating my b-day… what a treat! He was not only helpful online prior to our arrival, but he was so nice and attentive once we got there!!!

As for the apartment itself, it was super comfortable. We were only 4 adults, but this apartment accommodates 6 adults easily! Two bathrooms made it even better, because my parents used the downstairs one and my husband and me, the upstairs one. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen is small, but nice and we were able to cook dinner. Oh, and a washer machine! Priceless!!! They have smaller apartments, as well… And, there's a supermarket a few blocks away, so that's also great.

In terms of location, this place is very centrally located and an easy walk away from all the famous Florence sights and museums. We'd been in Florence before and always stayed "on the other side of the river", closer to the Accademia; but, staying on the "other side" of Ponte Vecchio, we were able to explore a "new" area of Florence that we had never explored! It's so nice and not too crowded, which makes for a quieter stay. In any case, it was 15-30 minutes walk to all we wanted to see…

Staying in this apartment was definitely one of the highlights of the trip, since we were able to enjoy a "local experience" and it's just a completely different feel than staying at a hotel. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone! Would definitely contact them next time we plan on visiting Florence.

The location was wonderful. Lots of artisans and a more neighborhood feeling yet minutes away from the Arno and all the museums etc. Federico was always available to help us, making many suggestions about activities and resaurants. Would defineitely stay there again.

As we arrived directly from the airport to this cozy appartamento Federico helped us up to our rooms (we hade booked apartment Leone, #6) which had plenty of space for four grown women with its two bathrooms, well equiped kitchen (with gas cooker as usual) and historic air with nice little details. A new comfortable bed guaranteed a good nights sleep. The sofa bed was in the softer section but some in our travelling party preferred that. The newly changed windows kept the rooms pretty quite, the shutters was very effective in keeping the light out. Neighbors/other residents could be heard, but not to any extreme: as an old building I expected it to be more noise. The wifi worked excellent, the water heater manage three(!) showers in a short period of time. We had no complaints about our stay. None at all. Only praise.

On the plus side you could add: The location! I can't imagine staying on a hotel in the middle of the tourist roads, like Piazza Signorina, Via Nazionale etc. Palazzo Belfiore is perfectly located close to everything, but in a calmer, more geniune area with the best little square in Firenze: Piazza della Passera. Here you have three nice restaurants, the best(?) café and a wonderful gelateria. This is where the locals hang out, and by good reasons. And Ponte Vecchio is one a few minutes away for when you want that bustling feeling.

Palazzo Belfiore is amazing. I would absolutely stay there again any time I needed (or wanted) to return to Florence. Federico in particular was charming, helpful, and funny. If you're looking for a place to stay to really soak in the feel of the city, ditch your plans at a hotel. Come and sleep at the Palazzo Belfiore where you can literally TOUCH HISTORY.
