Awesome location located in the heart of Florence!! Chiara and Rocco are very knowledgeable and helpful with whatever you need. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet enough in the evenings, as its located in Piazza Republblica where there is nightly entertainment. Breakfast is plentiful and located seperately from the Bedrooms. Shower would be tight for someone who is larger in stature. Definitely recommend this location and looking forward to coming back to Florence and Repubblica soon!!

Chiara, the woman at the front desk, was so helpful, funny, and kind. The location is perfect, a 5 minute walk to the Duomo, and very close to all of the main spots. The B&B is located on top of one of the main squares, which means there is always something fun going on outside. The rooms were very quiet, wifi did not work in the rooms but did work in the main lobby.

FANTASTIC! Location is amazing - so central and right near the duomo and il ponte vecchio. The girl (Chiara I think) is so helpful - spoke perfect English and not only told us the great places to shop and eat (all of which were great recommendations) but also let us use her phone for free to call our bank several times in Australia to sort out an Internet banking issue. The breakfast is also good and even though the hotel is right above a busy tourist area (piazza republica) the rooms are so well insulated that sleeping peacefully at night is made very easy! I would stay here again for sure!

Beautiful place for a short stay. The staff is friendly and the girl (sorry to have forgotten the name) spoke perfect English. The owner was a kind of a grumpy character but still did not affect the quality of the stay. Position is as central as it gets. Which, if you come by car might be a slight problem (we left the car at a nearby garage where the staff required us to leave the car key, which looks a little suspicious but is actually perfectly normal in Florence).
The thing that I liked the most is the design of the rooms. Pictures do depict that; but the feeling you get when you arrive is like someone brought you to a 50s movie scene.

Very welcoming staff, nice breakfast for B&B, super location on Pizza Repubblica, free Wi-Fi, historical building but no smell of old house, high ceilings, fully equiped shower with all amenities and more than adequite price. 5 min to all histprical places.

Being my first time in Florence and arriving via train at night, I was rather worried about not finding my way around. Not a worry at all - apart from stumbling to find the taxi stand at the train station, we were at BB Repubblica in less than 3 minutes and although the cab driver deposited us at the main road, BB was less than 10metres away from the road.

BB was located in an office buliding of sorts, so dont expect any grand entrance, but there is a small lift so that helps with getting the luggages up.

We had the smallest room - number 1 - and the room was cosy, clean and the windows opened up to Zara - not a great view, but for the price we paid, the location was excellent and Chiara was very helpful with offering advice on places to eat, areas to check out... Apart from being situated in front of the big carousel, we were within walking distance to all the museums, across the river to check out the restaurants, the big dome, etc.

Breakfast was rather basic, some coffee, biscuits, bread and cheese

With the casual friendliness and how easy everything is, BB definitely is worth every dollar.

Room Tip: Read about the bigger rooms with the windows that open up to the terrace, didn't see it, but my...

When looking for a hotel, we were looking for a good location.

Room: I believe we had room #6, it was at the end of the hallway. Very simple but clean with window, no view. Older building, there was a smell in the room at night time. We were guessing it must be from garbage bins or something below. Both the bathroom and room very clean. Wifi signal was weak.
Location: the location could not get any better than this!!!
Breakfast: there was a lot of variety which was nice. However, if you are getting up early, they may not have it ready to go. We experienced that when we had an early tour scheduled.
Staff: was nice and helpful. They responded to my emails with any questions i had before we got there. Let me print out tour vouchers that we needed for the next day.

Good value for location. Would stay again maybe in a different room.
