Our group of ten (10) used the services of Stefano and Franco from Tuscan Sunshine Tours in June 2013 when we rented a villa in Greve in Chianti and we had an absolutely fantastic experience with these two gentlemen. They were very knowledgeable and gave us some insights into different tour options we could leverage so as to make the two days we spent with them more enjoyable. We toured around Greve, San Gimignano, Siena, and Monteriggioni as well as passing through some other little towns and villages in the Tuscan hillsides all the while being educated on the history and culture of this beautiful region. On the second day, we had planned to visit the Cinque Terre region and although the drive was a lengthy one from the area we stayed in, we could not have asked for a better day or experience. Stefano made the trip more pleasant by providing some snacks and bottled water and we had plenty of opportunity to stop and visit the places we were expecting to see as well as to get some wonderful photographs. Stefano and Franco also had made arrangements for our group to have lunch on both days at some wonderful local trattoria's that we all thought were exceptional.

All in all, we could not have asked for more experienced and highly professional resources to spend our day with and I would not hesitate to one second to refer this private tour company to anyone looking for a memorable experience. The simple fact that Stefano and Franco even picked us up right at our villa and dropped us off at the end of the day was an added bonus.

Without any question, when (not if) we are back in this area again, we will not hesitate to use Stefano again to use their services.

Graze mille Stefano and Franco.
Lisa & Mike

We hired Tuscan Sunshine tours for a day, during our Mediterrean Cruise with Princess. We had a one day stop in Livorno. We decided to see Tuscany and some of the famous hilltop villages, instead of going to crowded, albiet beautiful, Florence, to which I've been before. We had a wonderful day with Franco.
To begin with, Barbara, in the office, was very prompt, helpful and patient at answering all my emails as we were deciding where to go. Thank you Barbara! Then Franco was right at the cruise port to pick us on on time. He spoke great English with very little ancent. He was kind, accommadating, informative, and patient with all our requests. He made the time for additional stops as I am a photography nut, trying to get us the best composition. We visited the towns of San Gimignano, Volterra and Monteriggioni , as well as the beautiful countryside in between.
The van was new and beautiful. There were 6 of us, with one in the front and two on the next seat and three on another. It was comfortable. I suppose the perfect size group would be 5.
San Gimignano is beautiful but a main stop on the tourist trail. Lots of shopping, great gelatto but busy. It is possible to get away from the crowds though, if you wonder the side/back streets, as many tourist seem to stay on the main streets only (?) and do not tend to explore. There are some beautiful view of the countryside around you. One could easily spend most of the day there because of the size of the town, especialy if you wanted to explore all the corners of the town.
Montreiggionni, on the other hand, is a small hill top village of 43 people, with perfect Medival walls surrounding it like a crown on a hilltop. You can walk part of the walls for a minimal charge. It is small, but perfect. There are obvously less people there, with an old church in the town square but it is a perfect place to sit and enjoy a cappachino. But there is a limited amount of things to see and do, unless you just want to relax and enjoy a medival town, much the way it used to be.
Voltera was my favourite. It is not a regular stop on the tour bus schedule, so it is a little quieter. It is big enough to have lots of streets to wander, yet have returants and shops to enjoy. The history there goes back to the Etruscans, with a large well-perserverd gate, as well as the Romans, with an amphitheatre. You can go up to the top of the medival tower in the main square for some views over the countryside and village. It is truly a classic hilltop village that delivers some beautiful photographic images of the area.
We were so glad we decided to skip the big cities for this Tuscany expereince. And Franco was an excellent guide. He gave us a wonderful day and timed everything perfectly. Thank you Franco!

It was a glorious day in early October that we were able to get on ths private tour with guide Stefano Celli, who is terrific and speaks great English. The sun was out and the tour to the vineyard was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed Stefano company and he is definitely one to seek if you are looking for a private guide to tour the vineyard in Tuscany. Will definitely pick Stefano Tuscan Sunshine Tour again when we next visit Florence Italy.

We have used Tuscan Sunshine Tours twice now, once for a week-long tour of Tuscany for a big birthday trip, and once for a solo quick visit to Florence with my 10 year old son. Both times, Stefano provided impeccable service and allowed us to see things through the eyes of a local. The first trip was with a group of 6 women, and Stefano showed up on time every day to take us to a different spot. He managed to check everything off of our list (with patience and a sense of humor), and then add his own don't-miss spots to each location. We thought we were hiring transportation, but we also got the tour guide expertise of a former hotel concierge (Stefano used to work for a top Florence hotel) and a local whose pride for his homeland showed through in every aspect of the tour. I cannot speak highly enough about this group. On the tour of Florence and Vinci with my son, Stefano was upset that he had forgotten to bring us a gift of the olive oil he harvests himself. Instead, he spent the time while my son and I toured Leonardo da Vinci's home and museum buying us a gift of local honey. I have traveled the world and had many guides, and I cannot recommend Tuscan Sunshine Tours highly enough.

Franco and Stefano of Sunshine Tours are a class act. We traveled to Florence five years ago and were extremely fortunate to have been set up with both of them for a wonderful tour of the Tuscany region. One of our best days!
We returned to Florence this month with two other couples and contacted Franco once again.
He was gracious as always and took his time with us. We all the the most fantastic day.
You won't find anyone better!
