We booked this B&B based on the Tripadvisor reviews - we were happy with it, but there were some small negatives that I'll mention for thoroughness sake.

When we arrived, we received a wonderful warm welcome and found ourselves on the 2nd floor of a older building. The B&B feels like one big apartment that been divided up, so one long hallway connects 4 rooms. Our room was Orange - one of the smaller ones, but for two people it was easy to maneuvre (we weren't spending that much time in it anyway).

The neatest perk is the decor - trendy, colourful and carefully arranged. I think that is what drew me to the BBH in the first place. Unfortunately, I found it dimly lit - dimmer than the photos would suggest. We had spotty (almost nil) internet connection, which isn't a big deal unless you are trying to check up on flights and trains. Lastly, though the BBH smelled lovely and was quite clean, our bathroom would emit mild sewage like smells - I couldn't tell where it was coming from, so I just closed the door to the bathroom and ignored it. I'm not sure if our room was an exception, or perhaps management has looked into it (it's been a year).

BBH is near the main train station. Convenient for us since we trained in from Rome and out towards Pisa. It is also reasonably close to the main sites. We walked everywhere - to Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi, the Duomo, the Accademia. It was nice to take in the sights and sounds while stuffing our faces with gelato! An extra bonus is Sostanza is a few steps away - a little family restaurant celebrated for it's artichoke pastry and bistecca!

My wife and me had the pleasure of staying in BBH from 5-10 Apr 11. The property is located a short walk from Firenze SMN train station and is easy to locate. When we reached BBH, Maria was there to welcome us. Maria made us feell welcome and gave us all the information needed for us to make our stay in Florence a pleasant one. We requested for additional pillows and Maria happily obligned. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and we had good night sleep throughout. It's a pity though that we did not get to meet Silva. As we rushed for an early check-out, I did not leave a thank you note, hence I feel to sign their praises here. All in all, we enjoy our stay tremendously in BBH. I would defintely recommend this B&B to others.

This B and B is definitely a gem in the middle of Florence. The location is very good, near the Santa Maria Novella Station, and very easy to find. The surrounding area is filled with different restaurants and cafes, which are very good. Near the B and B is a small cafe shop named San Carlos that was a very good place for breakfast. Silvia the owner was very nice and made us very comfortable for us to stay there. The rooms are nice and clean. Nothing bad to say about this bnb.

This bed house was in a wonderful location in Florence and the staff was very good about being in contact with meeting up for the key and information. The room was simple but comfortable. Wireless internet was available for free. The only downside was that a few restaurants nearby are a bit loud around dinner time (8-11 PM) but not terribly disturbing unless you are a very light sleeper and prefer to go to bed early. Otherwise a very nice place to stay for a very fair price.

This B&B didn't start off well for me. We had a horrible time trying to drop off our rental car in Florence; it was miserably hot; and when we arrived at the B&B, no one was there. We had told them we would arrive at 2 p.m. but we were delayed by an hour. Luckily there was a phone number on the door and someone arrived about 25 minutes later, but needless to say, I was annoyed. (I would have been more annoyed if we hadn't had our mobiles with us!) The person who met us explained he waited around for a while and then had to leave for another guest, which I now understand, but at the time, I just really wanted to get into our room so it was frustrating that someone wasn't there full-time during the day. Once inside though, we were pleased with our rooms. They were modern, a nice size, and clean. We were provided with fans to help keep us cool (although it doesn't seem like they have fans for every room). The location is really good - it's close to the train station and to the major sites of Florence. I think next time I would try to find a different place, but our stay wasn't bad after the initial part.

This is the first b&b we ever stayed and we liked it more than those classical hotels. Because it's equal to a 3 star hotel (without breakfast) with a much more reasonable price. It's very clean. There's everything you need inside: towels, tv, tape/cd player... even a candle and incense sticks! It makes you feel at home.

Silvia, the owner, she's very kind. She gave us a nice map of florence and informed us about the opening hours of the places.

It's in a walking distance to the train station and the center of florence.

A small problem: the room we stayed lacked a bit of daylight, the window of the room looks to the inner court of the building, it doesn't really get sunlight. But it's not even a problem, because you'll be out in Florence all the day.

Finally, we can stay here the next time we visit Florence.
