“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

We stayed two days at this wonderful guesthouse. There are only four rooms and the service was great. We could not have asked for a better location-away from the very tourist areas of Florence but close enough to get to all of the must see sites in central Florence. The staff were excellent and gave us a lot of very useful information. We would highly recommend staying at this place.

Dear guests,

we would like to thank you again for choosing the exceptional hospitality of Michelangelo Guesthouse and for spending beautiful words to us. Our philosophy is to match the beautiful structure at a great service by providing all the assistance and information needed to make your precious stay in Florence unforgettable. We always provide a map with explanations and reports of the most beautiful and interesting, the best and typical restaurants of Florence, combining them with small beads, which only a Florentine doc knows, by doing that you can "breathe" the true spirit of Florence.

We stayed in the Guesthouse for three nights and we really enjoyed everything about it.
The room was large, the bed extremely large and comfortable. Nice walk-in shower. Everything was very clean. The staff very helpful in explaining the maps, finding the sights and recommending things to do. Parking was easy on a nearby street and it was free of charge. The walking distance to the city was approx. 30 min. and there are cafes and pubs nearby to enjoy a great morning
Latte or Cappuccino.
The best thing was: the neighborhood was very quiet and from the balcony you look over a nice garden and green trees everywhere. Absolutely wonderful for being so close to the city but so nice and quiet. We will definitively stay there again on our next trip to Florence.

Room Tip: Great value for price! Quiet and close to City.

It is a 15-minute walk from the historic center, which is convenient for exploring Florence and the major attractions. The hotel itself for its format has a good service. Do not often see such that the manager will give you the time in great detail describe the optimal travel routes and give useful advice. We were very happy with your stay. Florence - wonderful, with his handwriting city that can not be known in full for the two days that we were.

Dear Guest,
We would like to thank you again for choosing us as destination of your stay in the beautiful city of Florence.
What you say is true: not everywhere you have a guest relation like ours, sometimes we are better then a five star hotel. Like you say in our kind review, Michelangelo is only 15 minutes walking from the most famous features but it is placed in a very quiet and green area called San Niccolò: this little town inside de city is considered the most typical area of Florence
Waiting for your new reservation, we wish you a good day!

My friends and I visited Florence for 2 short nights and stayed at the Michelangelo Guesthouse. The accommodations were exceptional, clean and welcoming. Our room had a giant bathroom, TV with cable and a large balcony that let in a ton of natural light. All of this for a very very reasonable price. The location of the guesthouse was fantastic. It's on the other side of the Arno river in the Oltrarno neighborhood which was so charming. It was lovely being located near the city center but still far enough away from the congestion and noise of it all. On top of all that, Emiliano and Niccolo who manage the place couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. They were completely accommodating and made our stay so pleasant. The complimentary breakfast of a homemade cappuccino and assorted breads with nutella made it a perfect stay. Our only complaint is that our stay was much too short. We will be returning again, that is for sure! Thank you to the entire staff at the Michelangelo Guesthouse for making our time in Florence so memorable!

Dear Guest,
We would like to thank you again for choosing us as destination of your stay in the beautiful city of Florence.
We are very happy to know that our efforts spent to make our service quite perfect are appreciated: as you say our rooms are clean, very well restored and with an incredible view to the Michelangelo Hill. This corner of quiet is placed only 15 minutes walking from Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria, in the most typical area of the city: San Niccolò area, the most typical and pictoresque of Florence!
We are waiting for your new stay in Florence, and we take the opportunity to thank you again for the wonderful review!
Best Regards

We heartily recommend the Michelangelo Guesthouse if you are going to Florence! Our room was immaculate and spacious and we loved sitting on the terrace overlooking the garden and enjoying the sunshine and the view. This house is a very peaceful spot that is off the beaten path...yet very close to everything we wanted to see. The staff were perfect: attentive, helpful, and gave us great recommendations for places to eat in the neighborhood and beyond. We loved being able to walk out the back and up the hill on the quiet paths and see the unbelievable views of Firenze and the Arno valley. We liked our stay there so much that after traveling around Tuscany for the next couple of weeks, we considered changing our plans and trying to end our trip there as well. We didn't...but will definitely plan to return to the Michelangelo again. A lovely respite.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a terrace and view of the back yard. Very quiet.
