Stayed 4 nights/5 days in a junior suite (room 30). Couldn't fault this hotel for anything - great value as the hotel is pretty much "all inclusive" - internet, parking etc (suites come with half board, breakfast and dinner), perfect service (kudos to the hotel for managing to be extremely professional without being stuffy or overly formal - seriously well trained and well informed staff), wonderful room (plenty of space - huge by European standards - with an amazing bath and (separate) shower). Location is perfect with a well organized hourly shuttle bus to Florence - about 20 mins by bus. Main building, grounds and pool are lovely - wish I had more time to spend in the hotel.

If you are a discerning traveler with a budget that can bear the cost (close to 700 Euro/night with taxes) this is THE choice in Florence. Well worth a special visit to Florence or Italy just to experience Il Salviatino. We had originally planned to stay in a villa but had to change our plans as we could only stay a few days here - this was a great option - felt very much like a private villa but with the comfort of a 5 star hotel. Very romantic location with great views. Would make an excellent location for a wedding.

Il Salviatino takes the hotel experience to another level. In all the many places I've travelled and stayed, nobody has done it quite like them. From the beautiful rooms that combine the history of the villa with modern amenities to the incredibly delicious food served on a terrace with the most breathtaking view of Florence to the service that can only be defined as perfect luxury, made for a fantastic trip that I did not want to end. Particular highlights include the very fun cooking class I took with the chef there where we learned to make delicious biscotti, tiramisu, ravioli, my massage and exploring il salviatino's grounds and other rooms. It is obvious here that care has gone into every detail and the result was well worth the effort (and price).

It is always a new experience when you can stop and just allow to take in a new experience . Time seem to have stopped sometimes in parts of Europe and I guess this is why i feel so welcomed especially in place like Firenze.
Il Salviatino has captured that very essence of floating time marrying history with a contemporary fresh feeling to it. Genuine smile and hospitality transpire form every experience from early morning till the rest of the sun.
Exactly what i needed to embellish my 10 years marriage celebration.
I might not wait 10 years this time to enjoy my breakfast there.

Beutifully located on the hillside just outside of Florence (max 15 minutes to the centre) with stunning views of the city. The ideal home to retreat to after a hot and busy day in the city, or just to stay for pampering and great food.
Recently renovated to very high standard while preserving the stylish and yet tranquil environment of a private villa home, the experience from arrival to departure was faultless (we stayed four nights). We thought that having just travelled from Hotel Castel Monastero just outside of Siena, that it would have been hard to match-but that is exactly what it did and I would recommend to those who wish a two location stop tour of Tuscany use both these hotels. They are very different in architecture and style and yet deliver the same high class environment, food and service experience.
Unfortunately the spa had not been completed-(due to open in August) and so we did not use those facilities, albeit that they had a temporary facility available, but in every other respect it was great. The chef at this hotel is one to watch-I should not be suprised to see a Michelin star here in the next couple of years-(although sadly I am never convinced that Michelin Stars are always in the best interest of the customers!). Overall excellent, great value for money and when re-visiting Florence I would not go anywhere else.

This hotel is one of the finest hotels in which I have ever stayed in the world. The service, the food, the hotel rooms are just five star all the way. The place is romantic, elegant and guests are treated like royalty. I would recommend this hotel to travelers who expect the best and want to feel that their business is appreciated. Every aspect of design were carefully thought out from the white leather couches outside to the impeccable decorating in the bedrooms. This is not a place for noisy crowds but a peaceful retreat for the the romantic sophisticated guest.

Located on a hill overlooking Florence, Il Salviatino offers stunning views of the city with a relaxed atmosphere of luxury. My wife and I spent a week there. By day we explored the riches of Florence's museums, sites, and street culture. By night we retreated to the calm, beauty, and service of the hotel. It's a rhythm one could follow for a very, very long time. The multilingual staff of the hotel is exceptionally well trained. The quality of the food & wine is outstanding. The list of Americans who have fallen in love with Florence is long. Il Salviatino will make it even longer. 2 Manhattanites

This newly opened property is a conversion of an old Italian villa located about 10 minutes outside Florence. As such, the property has some quirks, such as oddly shaped rooms. There was only one restaurant open and with it's limited menu, eating each night at the hotel is not an option. I believe they are adding a second restaurant, which will be a great help. The restaurant that was open was on a terrace overlooking Florence and has great service and very good food. A very romantic setting. The hotel staff provides very personal service and it's hard to turn a corner without being greeted by name. A nice touch. The hotel has a great spa where we enjoyed a great massage. Overall, we had a great time and will return.
