“Great for a family”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

It was very clean and spacious. It was perfect for our family of 4. Breakfast was simple but good. It was about 15 minute walk to the Florence attractions. The hostesses were very friendly. We got there in the afternoon when they were closed but they gave us the code to get in ahead of time so it was no problem. The key to our room was waiting for us at the front desk. Only complaint would be that the noise from the hallway was loud in our room as the door was fairly thin. It was only an issue on the day that we were trying to sleep in a bit.

Located in northern part of Florance with easy access to historical sites. There were two young ladies who were really nice to my family, especially Ms. Lucia who was my daughter's favorite.
One disadvantage of the building was that there was no elavator, so we had to take the stairs to first floor.
The wifi was good;so was the breakfast which was served in the kitchen opening to a balcony facing some old buildings and trees- which was a nice sight.
If we travel to Florance again, we will certainly stay in the same hotel.

First time in Italy and first time in a B&B as part of an interrail trip, sadly could only stay one night. The hosts made me very welcome and were extremely helpful despite my inability to speak any Italian. The room was large, warm and clean with tea making facilities. No instant coffee. There was a balcony in the room which opened up into a nice little courtyard. Really nice to have breakfast there. Breakfast was the standard continental with fresh coffee made on request.

The bed had either a memory foam cover or is a memory foam mattress, best nights sleep in my two weeks of travel. No road noise and no disturbances from the other guests. Took a lot to leave that behind! For the value to money, it is flawless. A nice brisk 10 minutes walk from the train station and not too far away from the city centre.
I highly recommend staying here.

The hosts emailed us with all the details of how to get into the establishment which was helpful. Liliana and Lucia are two extremely friendly and lovely hosts and were also very helpful in giving us details of the city and apologising we needed to pay in cash due to a faulty EFTPOS machine. The room was quite large, internet and tea facilities and in a quiet location despite being only a 10 minute from the main tourist attractions. The breakfast was plentiful, including fresh cake, with the hosts making coffee as soon as we arrived. Would certainly recommend staying in this establishment and on our next visit staying here longer.

We were able to enjoy two nights at this lovely bed and breakfast. One at the beginning of our trip and another stay at the end. First, the bed and breakfast is positioned within a quick walk to all major sights and for a reasonable cost. Second, Liliana and Lucia are beyond sweet! They not only let us leave our bags with them while we checked on the train (again within walking distance of the b&b) but also were wonderful enough to call us a taxi for the airport. There is a definite language barrier but they do everything they can to make sure they can communicate effectively to you. Breakfast is simple, as we noticed with most of our stay in Italy. It consists of pastries, sliced ham and cheese and cereals. Coffee is made when requested. Rooms are very simple and very clean. Please keep in mind though you are in a city so there are sounds of traffic but its not bothersome. I would recommend this b&b to everyone who was interested.

Room Tip: We loved room 2 because of the deck. It was wonderful to sit and relax.

This was my first time staying at B&B. Liliana and Lucia are two extremely friendly and lovely hosts. Suggest to book your stay a few days before so that gives you enough time to communicate with them. Their reception isn't opened 24 hrs, and they closed at 1pm, so we had a little problem to enter the B&B because I booked the stay too last minute, and we arrived after 1pm. Luckily, they responded to the email very fast. We stayed at Residenza Betta for 2 nights. The room was clean & huge, and the linens were clean. The mattress was a bit too soft & thin only. They have hot water for shower!!!! The location is around 20-25 minutes walk from the Florence Santa Maria Novella Station. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Great choice for solo trip to Florence on a budget. Easy walk to anywhere - I even walked from the train station - and I felt completely safe at all hours walking to and from, and in my room. The room was quite nice, and very clean, and it even had a small balcony that was very nice to sit on. The breakfast was very good, and served at an early enough hour that you could get out and start your day. Betta was incredibly helpful to a first-time visitor to Florence, with great restaurant advice and general information. She also loaned me a converter, as I had forgotten mine - thanks Betta!

I would definitely go back to Residenza Betta!
