...if we have less luggage :-)

This is a truly excellent B&B! The staff (hospitable, friendly, helpful), the room (we stayed for 2 nights in Fanny), the cleanliness, were all excellent!

The only flaws for my wife and I who were on a 2-week trip around Italy was that there are no elevators so we had to bring our bags up and down 4 stories. This is clearly pointed out on their website as this is a historic building so buyer beware. But the staff were super helpful and helped carry my wife's bag up and down.

Also the breakfast which is provided at a nearby eatery was a disappointment after the B&B. But this could be easily changed if the B&B partners with other eateries to provide breakfasts. We had our 2nd breakfast at Oibo near Piazza Santa Croce which is another nearby eatery and it was much better.

Room Tip: There are only 3 rooms in this B&B. We stayed in Fanny and it is a nice room because it is down...

This B & B was a beautifully appointed, classic, and charming small hotel. The owner, Karen, was very hospitable and welcoming. She promptly answered all inquiries, provided much information, and made requested reservations at nearby eateries. The location was fantastic, and very near to Santa Croce....and, therefore, many other central sights. The best feature of this B & B was the contact made with Karen. She treated us, as her guests, as if we were new friends, for whom she wanted to ensure a terrific visit to Florence. The ambiance and the welcome are enticing features that will entice me to always go back to this charming B & B.

We had a great stay at Casa Leopardi. The location is perfect in Florence and the room is really beautiful - check out the pictures on their website. We we greeted by a really nice young woman Karen when we arrived. She gave us great advice of places to eat in the area. She also booked museum tickets for us in advance.

The breakfast is a coffee and pastry at a nearby coffee shop. The pastries looked good, but we have gluten allergies so we went elsewhere.

We found the area a bit noisy, but we still slept well. The location is right in the center of the action in Florence.

Also, we had to carry our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. I still very strong, so this was no problem for me. I'm sure Karen would do it for someone who is not able to do so themselves.

We stayed in Casa Leopardi for 6 nights in mid September. This place is excellent, and our hostess Karin was super nice and helpful.
We were travelling with 2 kids (both 4) and were somewhat worried how they would adjust. But they did great and really like our hotel room and hostess. They also provided us with two cribs for them.
As far as location goes, this place is close to all the major sights - duomo, pizza republica (which has a carousel where kids went everyday), and of course the Uffizi. We walked to everywhere. It is also on the bus line (C).
Thank you for making it such a wonderful trip!

We stayed at B&B Casa Leopardi for 2 nights while we were in Florence in Sept 2011. It was our favorite part of the trip to Florence! The B&B was affordable, extremely clean and well maintained- it looked almost new! We loved the character in the decor of our yellow room.
The B&B provided great restaurant and Gelato recommendations within walking distance. It is also very centrally located to Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and the Ufizzi.
The only possible negative about the B&B is the three sets of stairs to climb with your luggage- it is located in a historic building and Florence laws do not allow an elevator to be built.

We have just returned from a 5 week holiday in Italy, the UK and Spain and Casa Leopardi was by far the best accommodation of the entire trip. We budgeted around 100 euros/night for accommodation and Casa Leopardi offered the most value for money in terms of room size/quality, location and service.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner and her family and, although they do not live on site, we always felt we were able to contact them if we needed any assistance. We stayed in room Fanny and absolutely loved it
- it is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The bathroom
deserves a special mention for its amazing shower!

The location is fantastic. An easy 10 minute taxi ride from the train station and conveniently located near Santa Croce square. The building is on a main street (so easy to find) but the rooms themselves overlook a side street and hence are very quiet at night (you might get a little bit of noise from other guests coming and going but we didn't find this a problem - just the occasional door opening and closing). All around the hotel are nice restaurants. Do ask the owners for suggestions - they are more than happy to help!

Overall, we can only repeat what others have already said: book here for your stay in Florence...before everyone else discovers it!

Clean, beautifully decorated property in a great location in Florence. The owners were exceedingly warm and helpful, assisting with parking, buying museum tickets, dinner reservations, etc.
