We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights in Florence Italy and we would return. Bruno goes above and beyond for his guests. The location is FANTASTIC, in the heart of Florence. There is a small grocery store located right next door and PLENTY of great shopping and a great little pub across the street. The rooms are a good size and very clean.

This B&B is the perfect place to stay when you visit Florence. Bruno was a great host and made sure that our stay was perfect. Our room was large and comfortable, and the decor was very nice. Only three blocks from the Duomo and close to everthing else makes this a great location to base your trip to Florence. Ask him for directions and a reservation to the near by restaurant Coquinelious, it's one of the best restaurants in Italy.

Our trip to Florence was made complete by a fantastic three days at the Badia. Bruno was a great host and made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in! Before we even arrived, Bruno arranged reservations for us at both the Accademia and Uffizi. The location is ideal, central and within walking distance to all the Florence sites. Along with the location, the Badia gives you the feel of being at home and is a true treat after a long day of touring. Each morning Bruno prepares a large breakfast in his living room that gives you an ideal start to the day. For our next return trip to Florence, I will ensure that we stay with Bruno at the Badia!

I had to cancel my trip, family complications. But my in-laws went there, They just had no words to explain how nice the place was, only said it was "chic", very close to everything, super clean, elegant and Bruno, well Bruno was a real fantastic host.Certainly I will be going there next October. I will meet in person this extraordinary host and thank him for making my family from Argentina feel they were there amongst "friends". I am proud I could research and find these fantastic B&B! Thank you Bruno. Arriverderci caro signore.

I was very much looking forward to this last trip to Florence. A year ago I started learning Italian and wanted everything to be authentic during this trip as opposed to "beaten track" and touristic. I have previously stayed in two diffent hotels in Florence, which were nice as well, but only Badia Fiorentina gave me the feeling of being at home. And even better - being in a real Italian home with its history and charm.
When choosing a hotel I like it to be about the history and traditions. I think it is more important than being luxurious and predictable like IKEA.
This place charmed me with the nice antique furniture in the rooms and in the hallways. The walls were decorated with numerous painting. Overall everything was made with great taste, love and care for the place. When you are a guest in a place like this, you feel this care too.
The location is really great - just 2 min from Uffizzi Gallery and 5 min from Duomo. Next door is a supermarket open till 9PM which means you can always save a little money on a couple of dinners and eat fruits instead. Or buy some water or juice if you want to.
The rooms and the "reception" are on the first floor and you get your own key for the big wooden entrance door, which means you start feeling like a real Florentine from the very first day.
One of the favourite moments were the breakfasts! All the guests get together at the big table in the dining/sitting room like a big Italian family. Bruno (the owner) himself will make you coffee and give you tips about where to go for the day. By the way, you can always make yourself some tea during the day, which is free of charge. A very nice touch if the weather is not so good and you want something comforting in the end of the day.
Bruno deserves a whole separate story :) He gave us a very warm welcome! We arrived late and he waited for us, showed us everything and we felt really safe there. He was nice to reply to my emails even before we arrived and it gave me a lot of practice of Italian. We still write notes to each other. Bruno was always there like a dear wise grandfather and we chatted a lot in Italian.
To summarize, I would definitely go to this guesthouse again. It might not be chic but you will feel as a friend there, not just another customer.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the side street and it was very quiet.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at this little B&B. The host, Bruno, is lovely and is always happy to help. He has a wealth of local knowledge and can recommend great restaurants and activities. The rooms are comfortable, nicely appointed and very clean. A stay here will make your trip that little bit extra special.
