My wife, daughter (21), and I enjoyed this B&B and Bruno. His English is limited but we did fine. Breakfast was simple but quite good. The rooms are small but manageable sleeping and reading for 3. Wi-fi had to be accessed in the hallway but it works. TV channel selection (English) is very limited but we weren't there to watch TV. Our in-room bathroom was fine. The last night was "Blanca Notte", an all-night (loud outside) street party. The place is obviously well sound-proofed; it didn't bother us at all sleeping, and we had to leave at 5 a.m.

As long as you don't mind walking 5-10 minutes, you cannot beat this location. Everything is right there. Bruno gave us several recommendations for casual meals and each was an absolute winner on quality, price, and the lack of touristy feel. Although we do like to try different places, we would have no qualms about staying here again and can recommend it without hesitation.

Badia Fiorentina is an excellent place for those who are likely to spend most of their time exploring beautiful Florence, and require a safe, clean and well situated place to spend the night…..or 5. It is located in the heart of the city offering an incredibly easy access to all historical sites, lovely restaurants, bars, bakeries and shops. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean, and priced at very affordable rates- light breakfast included. Wireless internet connection is available in the main lobby. The host, signore Bruno, is absolutely wonderful, accommodating and charming! He is a great source of information, both current and past, on Florence and Tuscany which always helps when you are planning your next sight-seeing tour! Badia Fiorentina was ‘a home away from home’ and I will be sure to return there on my next trip to Florence. Grazie molto Bruno!

Every time we stepped out of the door to Badia we were amazed at what an amazing location we had found in Badia. Almost every sight in Florence was a short walk away. Bruno was a wonderful host who made us feel at home in his home.

The rooms were clean and comfortable (some late arriving guests were not so quiet) and Bruno was very helpful in finding us some excellent tour information and made reservations for us. His English could be better and our Italian was nonexistant but we were able to communicate just fine.

For those travelers who are looking for a full-service hotel experience they should stay at a hotel and not a B&B like Badia. It truly served as "home" to us while visiting Florence.

We had a great 4 night stay at the Badia Fiorentina. It is situated between the Ufizzi/Piazza della Signoria and the Duomo, about 3 minutes walk from each, right in the middle of the historic center. The rooms were clean and tidy and the 17th century townhouse was very charming and made for a comfortable stay at an affordable price. I highly recommend it.

The guesthouses' centrality, coupled with the incredibly warm and friendly staff makes it a perfect place to enjoy Florence. We loved our stay!!!

We stayed at Badia Florentina Guesthouse for two nights. Our stay was pleasant, but lacked the charm of the best B&Bs we stayed at.

The location can't be beat. It was easy to find and centrally located. Our room with a private bath across the hall met our needs.

Bruno was welcoming. Although his English was understandable, it was limited. Enough to help you out, but not enough to comfortably converse more in depth. I found that one of things I enjoyed best about my favorite B&Bs was the opportunity to get to know the owner. Fairly or not, Bruno's English made that tough.

One odd thing was that on the morning we left, Bruno failed to mention to us that there was a time change (daylight savings time ended). We ended up at the train station an hour early. No harm done, but I'm not sure why he didn't mention it as we ate the ample provided breakfast 45 minutes before it was supposed to start.

All in all, Badia Fiorentina Guesthouse was a fairly priced, well located option for staying in Florence.
