Bruno's hospitality was amazing. He's super sweet and helpful. The rooms were very large and clean, beds were good. It's centrally located and easy to find. The breakfast was basic. Great bang for the buck!

Of all the accommodations we stayed during our Honeymoon, Badia truly left an impression. Bruno our host is a kind old gentleman who made us feel right at home throughout our stay. He has plenty to share if you can speak italian, we used google translate and enjoyed every moment. This charming B & B is within walking distance of most if not all the touristy place in Florence. A must-stay if you visit Florence!

The owner, Bruno, a charming elf-like man with a genuine smile, greeted me and escorted me to my beautiful, well appointed, clean room. It had no view, but the furniture and space in the room more than made up for it. Bruno lives here, so he cares what he is surrounded by, and so will you, beautiful antiques, photographs, and paintings (some by the very modest Bruno). The breakfast in the morning is had at a communal table where you can get tips form fellow travelers. Bruno caters to your coffee or tee needs, providing fresh baked pastries from a downstairs pasticeria.

Bruno will do his best to speak English, but loves it when you try to communicate in his language. I was able to do that and had the pleasure of getting to know him, Over a glass of wine in the evening he shoed me photos of his experience during the disastrous flood of the Arno in 1966. His families bar was destroyed in that flood and his photos that show the tragedy.

He has a passion for his city and his recommendations for the local restaurants and sights should be followed.

This B and B is centrally located, clean, comfortable and authentic. I highly recommend this as a home base while you visit the small but overwhelmingly beautiful town of Florence.

My wife, daughter (21), and I enjoyed this B&B and Bruno. His English is limited but we did fine. Breakfast was simple but quite good. The rooms are small but manageable sleeping and reading for 3. Wi-fi had to be accessed in the hallway but it works. TV channel selection (English) is very limited but we weren't there to watch TV. Our in-room bathroom was fine. The last night was "Blanca Notte", an all-night (loud outside) street party. The place is obviously well sound-proofed; it didn't bother us at all sleeping, and we had to leave at 5 a.m.

As long as you don't mind walking 5-10 minutes, you cannot beat this location. Everything is right there. Bruno gave us several recommendations for casual meals and each was an absolute winner on quality, price, and the lack of touristy feel. Although we do like to try different places, we would have no qualms about staying here again and can recommend it without hesitation.

Badia Fiorentina is an excellent place for those who are likely to spend most of their time exploring beautiful Florence, and require a safe, clean and well situated place to spend the night…..or 5. It is located in the heart of the city offering an incredibly easy access to all historical sites, lovely restaurants, bars, bakeries and shops. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean, and priced at very affordable rates- light breakfast included. Wireless internet connection is available in the main lobby. The host, signore Bruno, is absolutely wonderful, accommodating and charming! He is a great source of information, both current and past, on Florence and Tuscany which always helps when you are planning your next sight-seeing tour! Badia Fiorentina was ‘a home away from home’ and I will be sure to return there on my next trip to Florence. Grazie molto Bruno!
