Obika in Florence is located on one of the most beautiful streets in the city. They serve buffalo mozzarella in various forms paired with delightful toppings (choose a mozzarella, choose a topping). The mozzarella was delicious as we're the various accompaniments. The restaurant was trendy and lovely. Would certainly visit again.

“great setting,great food,the service however.....”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

We came across this restaurant having eaten at another; it looked so pretty the entrance all lit by candles, so we ventured in & asked if we could book a table for the following night in the courtyard area as it was so pretty..... no problem we were told. So we duly arrived at the appointed hour to be told we had to eat inside as they had a private party in the courtyard;NOT the same as huge "rooms" & not as atmospheric as the courtyard. So rather disappointed we sat inside which was a great shame;had we known we would have booked for another night. So then to the food....... Have to say in was good...very good.... my husband started with a big salad & I had the burrato mozzarella (which is almost like a thick cream & served in a bowl) with sicilian aubergine cassarole which were perfect together; he then had pappardellu ragu & I had linguine with tuna, olives & capers; both were excellent & the portions so huge we both ate about half. Now to the wine & service....... well the service was AWFUL. We ordered with one very dour girl & were then served by an equally sour boy; no wine arrived.....we asked a total of 3 times for the wine & water & were then told (by yet another person) that the wine we had ordered was not available. So we were then not sure so asked him what he thought .....he recommended another, then told us he didn't drink wine so had no idea what it was like!!! So anyway we decided with no help at all on a bottle of Belgvardo Bronzone 2010 which was fantastic so make a note & try this wine if you get the chance. Over the entire course of the evening we were not served buy the same person twice & due to the size of the rooms the numerous staff seem to waft through oblivious to the customers thus it is not easy to get anyones attention which is very annoying when you are desperate for a glass of water!! So,even though the food & wine were very good I am sad to say I am giving it an "average" score purely on the service & misinformation when we booked. I would however go again & hope the service is better........

nGreat location, great decoration, fantastic food! It's isolated from the crowds and you can enjoy a very pleasant meal in the terrace. I strongly recommend the tomato soup with mozzarella;loved it! The only downside is the service; quite slow.

“Mozzarella tasting? Wow!”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

Our group of 4 had lunch here in July, 2014. It's a beautiful place, first of all. Friendly waiters, good service. What a great idea - a platter of 5 different mozzarella di Bufala. Burrata, ricotta, mild, medium, and smoked. We ordered focaccia and grilled vegetables and meat to go with it. Such a great idea, and Plenty for all of us - absolutely delicious! The best lunch we had all week.

“Wonderful Evening”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

We spent a wonderful Sunday evening eating and drinking in the wonderful atmosphere if the Obika Mozzarella Bar. Food was well to our liking, bottle of Merlot and great service despite an influx of customers without reservations ( us included )
