On our first night in Florence we were moved to this hotel when our booked hotel overbooked. It turned out to be a very nice hotel. The breakfast was very nice in a room with a view. The watch motif was very interesting to see. One word of warning...it seems in Florence they use very small area rugs on very slippery floors. We had to keep removing these as my wife slipped and almost got badly hurt in one. Without that we enjoyed the trip...it is very close to the train station without being far from the rest of the places to see and do.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights in Florence between the London and Rome legs of our trip. I did tons and tons of research on TripAdvisor and other websites to find the right hotel. The L 'Orologio was wonderful in every way. Highly rated and it lived up to our expectations. It is a short cab ride from the train station -- almost walkable if you aren't heavy packers like we are. Excellent location that serves as a nice starting point for exploring the city. The lobby is beautiful. The staff is professional and helpful at all times. The room we got was a studio with the bedroom upstairs and living room/bath downstairs -- room 402, I think. It was lovely and the view from the bedroom windows was of the Duomo. It had a private patio off of the bedroom. Bathroom was luxurious. Clean. Well appointed and meticulously maintained. Breakfast was included with our stay and it was fantastic! Dining room was on our floor. Food choices were lovely and everything was delicious! This is a great hotel to stay in when you are in Florence!

Room Tip: The room we stayed in (402, I think) was a bit noisy with the bedroom windows open at night. Ambula...

Great location, very nice staff, nice rooms, very classy hotel, yummi breakfast with a beautiful view over the Basilique. I warmly recommend this hotel!!! The only remark I can make is that my room had a blind view, you better ask for a room with view.

Room Tip: My room had a blind view. Ask for a room with a view.

We spent 6 nights at this lovely boutique hotel. Every one was incredibly gracious. Simply an ideal location..the fact the national gelato festival was located steps from the front door was very cool! Walking anywhere was easy....or "Oh, just 5 minutes!" The hotel room was the quietest I have ever had the pleasure of staying. Literally, the doors were like vault doors. We never heard anything...the interior doors we're the same. Hair dryer going in the "oh so large "bathroom could not be heard by the remaining sleeping guest . Walk in closet with safe. However, if you are a tiny person with little strength, the entrance door could be a challenge. If you wish to adjust the thermostat, you need to tell front desk...room adjustments done by the guests will not hold. They will gladly set it for you. The breakfast room was cheery, with a great view. Just make note of the small up step as you enter. Breakfast fare was varied and good. You may request cappuccino from the server, but the coffee served with warm milk is great. The bar area was vey nice, although often times we couldn't find the bartender. Nonetheless, it was worth the wait..So we partook our drinks in any of the surrounding well appointed rooms. Tables by the shallow pool with the babbling water was very soothing after a day In the crowds. Large stylish umbrellas available, should you need one. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Room Tip: Try the 3rd or 4th floor...on third floor, something like 40 steps to breakfast!

Just 5 mins walk from the train station at Santa Maria. As u come out of the train station follow the taxi sign. The hotel is conveniently located near the mall outlet bus station, P.zza Santa Maria Novella shopping & sights. Everything within a short walking distance. A must stay if you are staying in Florence.

Room Tip: Breakfast is on the 4th floor. Don't stay below that area as their setup in the early hours of t...

My husband I spent 3 nights at the L'Orologio. This hotel is situated very close to the train station and right on Santa Maria Novella Square. It's close to all the main sites of Florence and you can walk everywhere!

The decor in the hotel was absolutely lovely! We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We were on the 3rd floor and our room was lovely. It was a very spacious room compared to other European hotel rooms. The bathroom was so large. The bed and bedsheets were wonderful and reminded us of home.

Breakfast at the hotel was lovely. There was a lot of selection of food and the staff were very helpful.

This is one of our favourite hotels in Intaly!

Room Tip: You cannot go wrong with this hotel!!

My husband and I spent 4 days in Florence at this absolutely fantastic boutique hotel. The staff was so helpful and friendly. It's very well situated, walking distance to all the important places to be seen in Florence. Their breakfast was very good and we really enjoyed their bar area. We will definitely be back soon!
