My partner and I decided to stay here due to the comparatively cheap cost for the beginning of July and the overall good reviews.

Let me first start my saying that the location is excellent. You couldn't be more central and the view from the street corner is breathtaking.
The B&B does have some great features:

- A small but very functional lift

- Friendly and helpful reception staff

- Stylish decor, lovely themed rooms

- Use of small kitchen/dining room for free coffee, tea, biscotti etc.

The downfalls however and what really impacted our stay here are the following:

- Extremely noisy from the street until well into the small hours of the morning. I assume the old building doesn't allow for double glazing, however this made it incredibly difficult to sleep each night. Note, I wear ear plugs every night and it was still very loud

- There is one general corridor with around 5-6 rooms off of it. The walls are basically paper and you can hear all noise between rooms, including someone taking a shower. We were awoken multiple times every night from what sounded like groups of people coming in at 1, 2 and 5am shrieking with laughter/slamming doors and generally making commotion. On our very last morning, we were woken 3 times during the night and then at 7:45 when a staff member came and had a loud phone conversation right outside our room and was rummaging around in the staff cupboard just outside our door. By this point it had started to feel a little like a hostel rather than an upmarket B&B

- The cleaners seem to arrive very early (9am?) which means when we were finally enjoying some zzz, we were woken up again to the noise of more doors being slammed and people talking

- The toilet paper was not replenished after our first night (there wasn't a lot to begin with) and the spare roll was removed meaning we were left with nothing for the whole night as the reception is closed from 7pm

- Whilst the decor of the room is lovely, the bathroom is tired and needs updating. The hand rail, soap dish and shower shelf were all coming off the wall

- Equally a little more attention to detail is necessary, e.g. There is only one plug socket next to each side of the bed with no multiple adapter meaning if you want to charge your phone you must unplug the lamp

- After the first clean of our room, I found curly black hairs all over the bathroom floor and on the bed linen

Whilst I can appreciate being in such a fantastic, central location of course means more noise, we have come from Rome and Amalfi where we also stayed in excellent locations and didn't experience anything anywhere near as bad as this.

I really wanted to love this place as I thought it looked so romantic and sweet but I couldn't recommend it to anyone who was relying on getting a good nights sleep!

It was a bit tricky to find from Google directions, it's a wooden door between 2 shops Max Mara and Weekender, if Google had said the Prada shop was next to Max Mara probably would not of had problems. The B&B is almost next to the Duomo. Fantastic locations short walking distances to all galleries leather markets etc. The B&B was smart crisp clean with a community kitchen for tea and coffee. Very friendly and helpful.

Suh a trendy little B&B style hotel. Great location and the rooms were awesome. Also, access to a mini kitchen with coffee, amazing cookies, fruit, and any other kitchenware you may need for a picnic or DIY lunch. The staff was great and gave lots of insider tips for good restaurants and are willing to help book tickets to attractions.

We booked a room with a view of the Duomo and I'm so glad we did! I had emailed to request a specific room, but was told they aren't able to guarantee requests. However, we ended up in the Fedora room and really loved it. Although they aren't huge rooms, they are nicely sized and the high ceilings and big windows make them feel very spacious. The furnishings have clearly been selected with great care and are unique, but comfortable. The bathroom was fabulous, but the shower floor was a bit slick. All of the staff we met were very helpful and kind. They do not have parking on site, but have an arrangement with a nearby garage that can drop off and pick up your car. There is a fantastic old fashioned elevator that will wisk you quickly upstairs, and we rarely had to wait. This is not a B&B, but there is a dining table along with a kitchen area that offers, tea, coffee and dishes. Overall it was relatively quite during our 3 nights there and I would happily stay there again. The location was perfect for us, so close to the Duomo, but quiet at night.

Room tip: Spring for a Duomo view!

The location of this B&B could NOT be any better. We only stayed in Florence for 3 nights so it was important for us to be central - we definitely lucked out with this one! Minutes walk to Duomo, Uffizzi and Academia gallery. Also walking distance from the train station, great shopping and all the great restaurants. The B&B itself is cute and stylish. Loved the espresso machine and complimentary fruit. We booked the smallest room but still got a nice big wardrobe and mini fridge. Would stay here again in a heartbeat - highly recommend!
