Hidden Florence is a jewel for tourists who want to know what life was like for those people that funded the art of Michelangelo, Donatello and da Vinci, as well as the average citizen that mixed their paints or wove their clothing. Definitely recommend to all those interested in a more in-depth study of Florence.

Such a fun way to learn more about Florence's history. Takes you off the beaten path with much better information than you'll get from the typical tour guide. Options to listen to more info allows the user to get deeper into the story.

This is a great way to spend an hour getting away from the crowds and seeing places people tend to ignore. I used this app a couple of years ago on a holiday with teenagers and they had fun leading us around in the company of the woolworker Giovanni. We ended up in Sant'Ambrogio - and had a great lunch in the neighbourhood market in Rocco's. We'd nevery have been there without Giovanni. It's like having a guide from the Renaissance with you, pointing out things that mattered to them then - and it is amazing that so many of those sites are still there today. Don't miss it!

I always want to know more about the places I visit - beyond what the guide books can tell you and this app is amazing! It takes you on a guided walk around bits of the city that you might never go to (San Ambrogio) or bits of the city you think you know well (like the centre) and it pops up with really interesting facts and stories. The narrator/ guide is a 'renaissance' character so it's like you're time travelling and someone is showing you around. I actually liked the 'discover more' bit best - where the historians behind it explain in way more detail the broader historical context.
