“Lovely!”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 via mobile

The room and the bathroom were wonderful. I recommend this B&B if you are on a road trip in Tuscany, and you can go in the day to the center of the city by car (even when is not easy to find parking near the center). The view is great too. It was nice to stay here.

This unpretentious B&B is located in the area of Florence south. You definitely need a car to reach it. To visit the city, you can drive your car to the nearest parking, which is conveniently located within a five minutes’ drive, or you can take a bus. We chose to drive our car to the parking and from there we walked into the city centre. There is a definite feeling of being in the countryside, even if the city is very close. It is a convenient location if you want to be close to the city but not right in it. The building is an old restored house, with thick solid walls. Rooms are clean, with a view on the hills. Breakfast is pleasant and you can get free Wifi. The management is friendly and helpful (also animal friendly).

Perfectly located on the edge of Florence, the Casa di Olivo is tucked into a Tuscan hillside and offers wonderful evening views overlooking the city. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious and breakfast fare was enough to set you up for the day. Laura and Mauro are the perfect hosts, friendly and discreet. There is plenty of space to relax in the sitting room or outside on the terrace as the sun goes down. We will certainly return if we visit Florence again. Thank you!

We're so glad we decided to stay at A Casa di Olivo! We didn't have a car, so it took a little while to get back from the city, but it's an easy trip (just one bus ride and a little bit of walking, no transfers necessary) nonetheless. And I wouldn't have traded it. It was wonderful having such a peaceful place to go back to at the end of the day. We made good use of the kitchen for dinner one night, and Laura's breakfasts were delicious. The house is gorgeous, surrounded by lemon and other fruit trees, and an olive grove with spectacular views over the city. We recommend A Casa di Olivo 100%.

Although only 10 minutes drive from Florence's Duomo, A Casa di Olivo is a perfect oasis of quiet and tranquility. Laura and Mauro gave us free rein of their property; the view from the top of the olive orchard is spectacular, and one you couldn't find anywhere else. Our party of 7 took up all 3 rooms, so we felt as though we had our own estate; after long days sightseeing in Florence, it was a joy to relax in the comfort of the roomy living and dining rooms. We even cooked dinner one night as a welcome respite from all the huge restaurant meals. Laura provided delicious breads for breakfast; we were never able to come close to eating everything she offered. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds comfortable, and our hosts delightful.

Room Tip: All 3 rooms are lovely; the triple room is up a fairly steep staircase.

We loved staying at the Casa di Olivo. The owers have an olive grove and press their own olive oil. We saw their tools in the cellar of the house. They were so nice and have a wonderful bed and breakfast. They had breakfast for us early because we needed to check out early, gave us directions, and even gave us an unused bus pass someone had left behind. It was a beautiful and relaxing place to stay.

I highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Laura & Mauro were lovely- and they're dog Rocco was too!

The house was great and the room, spacious and clean.

Although the property was close to the train with some noise, it was quiet throughout the night.

Laura ensured we were comfy & was a delight to deal with
