“Asa Wine Tour Guide was amazing!”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Asa is such a knowledgable wine tour guide and very comical! The cheese pairing with the wine was also amazing! The views are incredible and I now know so much about the making of the wine as well as the history. I can hold a class properly and am able to pick out different tastes of each wine. We got to eat at a butcher shop with fresh meats and a variety of vegetables. The olive oil with bread was amazing and the "crazy butcher" was so much fun. It was such a lively atmosphere. If you can get on a tour with Asa (Swedish name) then I highly recommend it!

“Amazing.”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

This tour is amazing. No more words needed really, just book it. We had a great time and learned a lot! Bernardo, our guide was very helpful and friendly(and with so much knowledge and huge interest in wine!). After the tour he also gave us tips on restaurants in Florence worth visiting, something we were very thankful for, all of it was just super nice! One of our absolute best days in Italy.

“Best wine tour hands down”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

We took the Super Chianti wine tour with Asa and she did a terrific job! We started the day in Florence where Asa picked us up and we met a couple in there 20's from London, two girls in there 20's from Australia, and their mom. We had a fabulous group so fabulous that after the tour we all had cocktails at a bar in Florence. I can't say enough good things about this tour! We learned so much about wine in Italy along with the cheeses, meats, and olive oils. I would suggest skipping breakfast as you will be eating the best bread, cheese, meats, and olives around 10:30am as that's your 1st vineyard. We walked out to the actual vineyard then went into a quaint room for the tasting (which is more than a tasting, so many bottles of wines opened we couldn't drink them all and we're drinkers). Also, there's a shop if you want to buy wine, cheese, meats, etc. Then off to Panzano for lunch with Dario the crazy butcher. More delicious food and wine. After lunch we headed to downtown Panzano for some shopping, and of course more wine! Finally to our 2nd vineyard which I liked better then the 1st one. Francesca talked about how his vineyard is family owned and is a small organic farm. We met his father, his mother, and his baby daughter. After Francesca told us of his family vineyard we went to a nice room for some more wine and food. Then headed back to Florence which we got back around 5:30pm. This tour is well worth the money and a learning wine experience for us.

“A GREAT Day of Fun, Food & Wine Tasting!”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We wanted to spend a day with a wine tasting tour while in Florence (so we could sample the wines without worrying about driving ourselves) and agonized over which tour group to go with...we were THRILLED with our choice of "Tuscan Wine Tours"! Our group of only 8 people easily met "Matteo" at our starting point (we were provided easy-to-understand information via email before our trip) and hopped in a roomy, air-conditioned mini-van to start our day. We visited two great, small wineries; sampled cheeses, olive oils, and wines; and ate lunch at Dario Cecchini's (the "crazy butcher") restaurant after visiting his shop. Not only did we enjoy a leisurely pace, our guide, Matteo, was able to explain all of the details and nuiances about the wine, cheese and olive oil production, PLUS the cultural and historical perspectives of the region. The day was WAY more than we expected and a FANTASTIC experience! No "hard sell" at the wineries to buy and the included lunch was WAY MORE food than the group could finish! We even had time on the way back to stop in Greve in Chianti to stretch our legs and grab a gellato! A GREAT time that we'd highly recommend for everyone! Thanks, Matteo & Tuscan Wine Tours!

“Best part of our trip”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We received this tour as a wedding gift, as we were going to Italy for our honeymoon. It was far and away our favorite thing we did over the 10 days we spent in Italy. Our tour guide, Matteo, was very knowledgable, fun, welcoming and not snobbish or condescending despite his vast knowledge of wine. He explained the wine-making process to us, which in most brewery/vineyard tours is really boring, but he made it fun and understandable, while having us sample some of the best wine we have ever drank. The group is small so you get to know everyone and I think our whole group had a great time. We would definitely do it again.
