“GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE PRICE ( english version)”
Reviewed 10 January 2012

The hotel is quite good for the price it has. There is a bus stop just a few steps away from the hotel , it will take you to downtown in about 20 minutes. They offer a good but little breakfast in most of the cases enough. Be careful with your car, under no circumstancies are you to park outside the hotel´s parking becouse you will be fined ( only resident people can park all over Florencia), and what is worst there is no fine in your car , you learn about your fine months later when the rent a car company charge in your credit card a kind of expenses, so you´d better when you get home cancell your credit card and ask for a new one. The hotel offers a discount in a near restaurant, ( quite good, and affordable) but you have to ask at the receptionist desk for the restaurant and the discount, they will give you a paper that you show when going to the restaurant. The hotel has WiFi for free at your room, and a small supermarket at the corner when you can buy whatever you may need, specially food. In all I think it is a good chance to stay a few days in Florence without being at the centre, when the hotels are really expensive ones.

This hotel is just a bit more than a glorified hostel with individual rooms. It is on the direct bus connection from the main train station which takes about 20 minutes in total. The hotel room is fairly basic with just bed, TV, table and clothes rail. The air-conditionning worked very well (a real relief in the summer months). The hotel does offer a breakfast in the breakfast room, though we didn't eat here. There is also a selection of essential items and snack foods fro sale from the reception desk.

The area around the hotel appears a bit run-down and dirty, but this is just cosmetic. There is a handy supermarket across the road, a laundrette a few doors away and some handy take-away restaurants for a cheap meal.

The only downside of the room was the miniscule bathroom facilities. The shower stall was so small that it was impossible to wash inside. the sliding door did not work so water flooded out onto the floor from the spray and the poor drainage (too slow). On the first day the housekeeping had opened the bathroom window which let in multiple mosquitos which made for unwelcome bites the next morning.

Florence is a lovely city to visit with many stunning sites and galleries to see and visit. Do allow lots fo time to visit the Uffuzi Museum as crowds are long. You can buy tickets for a "queueless entry" for a 2 Euro supplement.

Room Tip: If possible ask for a larger shower stall

The location is very convienant to the airport. The hotel is a little run down, but the entire area is like that. There was no door on the shower, so water flooded both the bathroom and the bedroom. By the looks of the carpet, this happens all the time. If you are a large person, you won't fit in the shower. Tip: This is an airport location, not in town. But the room was big and the staff was nice and helpful, so I do give it a recomendation.

Basic, B&B hotel. Don't stop off at the newer looking B&B hotel just a minutes bus ride down the road. Bus number 22 directly outside Florence Train Station will get you to the hotel in around 20 minutes. It's not that far outside the central area of Florence - for those of you used to staying in hotels further out.

The hotel has recently been re-decorated - just a lick of paint by the looks of things. The room we stayed in was very spacious. Very very basic... tv, bed, bedside shelf and that's it. The bathroom was very small - the shower cubicle was hilarious! You could hardly fit into the thing let alone turn to clean your bits! The shower door would not close properly leaving water to seep out.... the plug hole could not cope with the volume of water churning out - therefore to turn off the shower to allow the level of water in the cubicle to decrease.

There is a launderette just a few shops down for those of you traveling for a long break around Europe and a supermarket around the corner of the hotel too - some great bargains found... some nice take out joints along the stretch of road too...

I would recommend this for those budget staying folk but beware of any tiny shower cubicle!

We only stayed here one night before our flight out of the Florence Airport. It was fine for one night. However, had I booked a room for more nights than that, I would have looked for another hotel. On a positive note, it was close to the airport. Also, the front desk was happy to call for a taxi, which we asked for on 2 occasions, and the taxis were there within 3-5 minutes! The rooms were very small and sparse, but clean. The shower had no shower curtain or shower door. The water just fell out onto the floor. We mentioned to the front desk that we didn't have a shower curtain or door and were told that was the case with most of the rooms. Well, I guess it's their problem to clean up the water. We left for the airport at 4 a.m. and saw several "street walkers" hanging on the corners. Perhaps this is in a red district zone? All in all, not bad for one night but I think I would look for another hotel if ever in that area again.

I just stay one night at this hotel, I loved how modern it is, we got a room in the first floor, it was painted red, the room opens with a code of 6 numbers, and it had a very cool bathroom, simple but with the necessary, the room light is was pretty neat, right above the bed. The breakfast was good, and the breakfast lady was very funny, eventhough she didn't speak spanish, she was making jokes with all of us.

After I booked this hotel I read some horrible reviews, however the hotel itself was not bad at all, rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast was ok, its a little off center but bus takes about 20 min to get to the center. What I didn't like was rude staff who did not bother to provide us with any extra information, every time we had to ask a question one of the guys would respond in very short rude manner like he didn't want to be blathered, plus when we were in breakfast room one of the women purse got stolen with passport and everything and there are cameras all over the hotel, however staff did not bother to offer any assistance told poor woman to come back tomorrow instead of calling police right away or check the cameras so I didn't really like that.
