Our hotel recommend this trattoria and I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed it. Its off the usual tourist tracks and definitely worth seeking out. The food was wonderful and the staff welcoming. I'd recommend it.

Recommended by our hotel and very pleased to have enjoyed such a great meal at this restaurant. Reasonable access with a wheelchair. Wonderful tailored menu for my fussy children. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. They speak at least 4 languages (Italian, English, French, Spanish). Tuscan T-bone steak was delicious. Shame we didn't have an opportunity to return.

We have just returned from a really enjoyable meal at this restaurant. It was recommended by the staff member at our holiday rental and was just down the street. We were exhausted from walking all day and would have settled for almost anything. We were keen to try the seafood risotto but weren't too keen on the white sauce. So the chef (who was our our waiter at that point) said he could make it with a tomato base and added chilli at our request. And my son didn't want spinach ravioli so he substituted it for potato. On top of this the restaurant was fully booked but they squeezed us into a small table near the bar. The risotto was to die for. Generous, with fresh prawn, scampi, calamari and vongole. We were served double bread after our son inhaled it all and the house wine and bottled water were both reasonably priced. We've only been in Italy for a week but it was the best meal we have had here at a really reasonable price. If it was open on Sundays we would have been back for a second night. Highly recommended.

We ate here our first night in Florence, and it set the bar high. It feels like going to a dinner at a friends' home. Very casual and fun atmosphere, with lots of Italian clients. Food is fresh tasting. There were 6 in our party, so we had a number of dishes--great crostini (chicken liver was the best we tasted anywhere), excellent grilled platter of prawns/shrimp/calamari (not fancy--salt, pepper and olive oil), really good pastas, and the best cheesecake.

This is a non tourist restaurant, outside the main tourist areas but well worth a visit which we did in March 2014.
Despite being virtually full, they were able to offer us a table close to the kitchens, which proved to be the best seat in the house! The owner/ chef is amazing, completely on top of his kitchen producing a varied range of cuisine from fresh local ingredients which cannot be faulted.
Each meal we had was cooked to perfection and the main waiter was able to explain each dish and make very welcome recommendations, the menu offers an excellent range of dishes to accomodate all tastes and is very good vale for money. Our recommendation is to not go for what you know but to ask, and be adventurous, you will be pleasantly surprised with the quality and superb taste of this well coooked and presented array of excellent cuisine. On our second visit , having booked in advance the waiter was so friendly he actually wore a sports shirt in our honour.
