Great home style Italian food, friendly staff and good atmosphere. The Ossobuco and slow cooked beef in red wine were both delicious and the roast potatoes are a must. This is a no frills family restaurant but definite value for money!

We found this restaurant by asking a taxi driver to bring us to a nice quiet and not touristic place with excellent meat.
We had really good food: classic Fiorentine steak, and - definitely try - meat in Balsamic sauce! It was melting into mouth. Also it was good to sit at the terrace: outside but still quiet.
What was not good: prices are a bit higher than could be expected, moreover we were advised to try only the most expensive dishes. Terrace's interior was not cozy at all.
Taking into account that the restaurant is also not so close to the historic centre, I would still recommend to continue searching another excellent Fiorentine steak :)

Four of us had dinner here tonight, hoping for a special Florentine Steak. We were hardly seated before being asked for our order and had to ask for time to look at the menu. We ordered sparkling water and got still. We ordered our steak medium rare. It was rare at the very thick end and well done for the rest of the piece of meat. We complained, and they did bring us one additional steak to share. It was more evenly cut and done correctly but still overly chewy with gristle. The service varied between rushed and ignored. With the thousands of restaurants in Florence, I'd make another choice,

Dear Sirs I am sorry for what happened as you know for steak cooked too much we put a third cooking at the end had been eating two steaks and a half but in this account were charged only two. with regard to the quality it seems strange to me that you say how you were the only customers who have complained about the quality of the steak that we cooked for you and

Our family had a delicious late lunch here at La lampara. Pizza margherita, spaghetti carbonara and marinara, minestrone soup really hit the spot. Highly recommended.

We spent a while finding good price and authentic Italian food in Florence. This restaurant advertised a take out menu outside with great prices. When we were seated they gave us an alternative menu. This made or 5 euro meal turn into 9 euros. It was above our budget, but we thought it would be worth it. The food was al-right, but not any better than Italian food in the U.S. When we received our check, we were also charged a cover charge of 2 euros each. So in total we were charged twice (totalling 6 euros) to sit in an average restaurant for less than an hour. We will never return to this place and hope any one going there recognizes how they will cheat you out of your money.

Arrivederci e grazie .dear Sirs maybe you haven't noticed that the menu that you read out is to take away food and yet is written huge in more when we put up the menu you are given and the prices are those that then you are in the account. The "tax" is nothing more than the covered that virtually 95% of the restaurants apply. From us is euro two but believe me that you can get to 5 euros per person. Good bye and thanks
