Owner description: There is plenty of sun, shade, singing birds and whispering fountains in one of Florence's largest and most beautiful gardens, which are located behind the massive Pitti Palace.

“Unimpressed”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

We took an afternoon to tour the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. We were so disappointed with the gardens. It was all trees and shrubs, no flowers to be seen. Some of the fountains were not running either. There are a ton of steps too. If you really want to visit I recommend taking the bus that drops you off up at the top of the gardens. No place for someone who cannot climb.

“Lovely but hard on the knees!”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Some stunning sights from the higher levels but it's very hard on the knees. Not any good for anyone with knee problems. The grotto was gd but it's a shame you cannot access it, just look at it through the bars.

“Disappointing :(”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

I was so looking forward to visit the Boboli Gardens, but the first sign that this wasn't going to happen was trying to get past the dragon at the entrance of the gardens. Not only was she rude, she was being really difficult about the European Union discounts for under 25s. This totally dampened the mood of our visit to the gardens. The garden in themselves have the potential to be beautiful but unfortunately they aren't very well maintained and the map they hand out at the start of the walk is really bad and I'm pretty sure we missed out on half of the gardens. I do think I would have enjoyed the gardens more had the woman at the front not been so horrible but unfortunately that wasn't the case :( I regret giving them 10 euros of my money which is blatantly not being used towards the gardens or competent staff.

The women on the ticket desk was HORRENDOUS.She actually shouted at my friend !! She insisted that we paid separately as there were two student tariffs. The gardens were non descript, not impressed at all .

“nice gardens”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

this is a huge garden with lots of statues, paths, and trees. it's nice for a picnic or if you just want to relax under a tree and maybe read a book.
i walked for more than an hour and i don't think i covered the whole garden. you can have a view of Florence and the duomo from the high points of the garden.
the tickets is for 10 euro and it includes some of the museums that are inside the Pitti Palace.
