“FLORENCE WAS AMAZING!”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

This is a charming hotel....and we were surprised to have a huge room which was overlooking the garden and pool. We stayed in Florence for a few nights traveling from Venice to Rome...the staff was cordial, the room was clean, and the breakfast...was just okay. Florence was amazing!

Just got back from Florence and stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms were beautiful...ours had a terrace and overlooked the pool. We had a beautiful view of the full moon. The staff was excellent...gladly answered all our questions and helped us with numerous questions. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the garden/pool

We stayed here for a week; enjoyed it tremendously. Room was very comfortable, spacious, excellent bathroom and a/c worked very well. Free breakfast every morning in outdoor area was lovely. The concierge & hotel manager were attentive. About a 15 minute walk from the center of the city but very close to the River and the bridges. It was quite nice to come back at night to a quieter area and get a good night's sleep. Also offered free taxi in the morning and afternoon. Highly recommend.

This spot was recommended by a friend and we really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are very comfortable and the service solid. Poolside service was spotty at times. Lobby service and concierge service were very good. It was a 20 minute walk to the center of Florence but only 2-3 minutes from the Arno River.

This was our second visit to the hotel so we knew the quiet rooms are at the back overlooking a convent garden. The rooms at the front face the road and the majority have balconies and overlook the garden and pool area. There is very big open area in front of the hotel which is unusual for the city and our car was parked for us in an enclosed secure car park which costs 40 euro per night. The room was decorated in a modern somber style that I don't like but as we were only there for two nights we put up with it. We got a very good welcome and ate dinner in the restaurant where the staff were very professional and the food good. The hotel has a courtesy mini bus which is at guest disposal and we were lucky to be able to use it every time we needed it. The garden and pool are small but very pleasant and really the hotel is an oasis in a very busy tourist city. Overall a professionally run, pleasant hotel to stay in.

Room Tip: Depending on your taste, ask for a classic or modern room. Facing the convent garden is quietest but...

We are world travelers and stay at very nice hotels. This is not a 5 star hotel more like 3 stars. It is a bit run down, spots in room carpets, plastic tub with gobs of white caulking, marks on the walls. The fit and finish are 3 star level. Uncomfortable beds, poor quality towels, pillow, etc. Not 5 star quality. I would like to say that the dinner we had at the dinning room "Observatory" was 5 star quality if only the rest of the hotel can can catch-up. Concierge need more training on giving correct directions. They all were equally as bad. If you must stay here get a room overlooking the pool on a higher floor.

We just stayed here for a few days and it was lovely. The staff was very very good and was Johnny on the spot . Our shower head was not working right in the beautiful bathroom and and the fixed it right away. We really enjoyed staying here , it is a few blocks from the center of the action but we liked that.
