OK, it took me nearly a year to write this review because I was being completely selfish and wanted to keep this fabulous apartment to myself! Conscience has now got the better of me so here's my review:
Perfect 10/10 *****
From the moment one arrives, this apartment is undeniably special. It has an classic Florentine feel combined with modernity in the well-equipped kitchen and bathroom where excellent design and fittings make this a cut above the rest. The frescoed living room/bedroom is beautiful and the other bedroom is also beautiful and very tasteful with amazing storage for all the designer wear you'll be buying in Italy!
The absolute clincher for me is the terrace - this is the quirkiest and most adorable terrace ever! Situated above street level on a corner (I had no noise issues at all) with an amazing triangular section enclosed by windows complete with billowing curtains and comfortably furnished, it is a wonderful place to relax, read a book, and watch the people on the street below. Very close to two bridges - perhaps a 5 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio? Cafes, restaurants, little supermarkets nearby and an easy walk to the centre via the river. I wish I could live in this beautifully appointed apartment forever. I hope to win the lottery and make an offer someday...sigh...
