“Beautiful interior”
Reviewed 23 July 2012

Don't miss this basilica. The interior is beautiful! Also, many famous people are interred there (Galileo, Dante, Michelangelo). Doesn't take long to go in and look around.

“The graves of genius”
Reviewed 20 July 2012

Santa Croce has the graves of Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei and Macchiavelli. I could only feel respect in their tombs thinking what they have left to us. As a protestant I have to admit that Roman catholic churches are much more glamorous and really worth to visit compared to ours:)

“Sweet Santa Croce”
Reviewed 19 July 2012

Basilica di Santa Croce is close to a lot of the bars that my friends and I used to go to while living in Firenze. Ahhh...there were so many nights where I just sat on the steps with my friends, just relaxing and chilling or grabbing a taxi to get to our next destination (mainly clubs haha). One night, they had this huge music festival in the front courtyard of the church and they had live music, food, hot Italian guys..damn, it was amazing! Amazing night, yes indeed....seriously, va bene!!
