Reminded me of the Seattle Waterfront Market - fish, fruit, pastries, mushrooms, food stalls, wine, everything you could possibly want to buy on display and for sale. We spent about an hour here just walking to see what was available. Had an awesome raisin pastery, a nice cup of coffee and bought some great dried mushrooms. We will be back to shop more before we leave. I understand they have remodeled the place which is great.

Stopped by for a look see as we were told that the market had recently been re-vamped. Downstairs houses a vast array of fruit and vegetables and fresh meat amongst other things.

Upstairs however is a different story, here is where you will find a good selection of food and drink including a delicious seafood stall. We had a glass of wine and took in the cacophony of sounds in pleasant surroundings whilst enjoying a snack.

A shop selling condiments, biscuits etc..helped me sort out most of my gift list for family and friends back home.

Definitely worth a visit.

Was told about this place as a most go to eat whilst on the aeroplane.WOW
Stayed in Florence for 7 nights and had lunch and dinner here more or less everyday.
Good food, wine atmosphere everything!!!!
The tiramisu and small fruit pastries are to die for.
Chiant Sanangelo from the wine shop is terrific.
Frito misto from the seafood area is awesome.
Meat from the steak area is the best I've tasted.
Pizza Capri is wonderful.
Its the place to go for sharing food and trying and tasting everything!Sometimes one starter and main course is enough for two people so you can save yourself for desert.............get the tiramisu early in the evening as it sells very quickly.
Hope you all enjoy it as much as we did.

We stopped here just to see what this place was. We were only able to go upstairs as construction was occurring downstairs. So glad we stopped in. It was amazing. This was an upbeat area that housed wine bars, restaurants, and shops. There were little markets that sold spices, meats cheeses etc. Would definitely go back here. We ate at a small restaurant and it was amazing!

I would never have reached this place if it wasn't for the guided tour we took. A great place to buy typical Italian condiments to bring as gifts or use at home. Everything is so nicely displayed!
