When you enter the hotel it appears shabby but the room was large, clean and cool. The location is absolutely spot on, right in the main area of Florence. Couldn't be a better location. Wifi is fantastic and there are no dropouts. Breakfast is simple but good. For the price, this is a gem.

The location is great but the hotel is average. Our room was ok nothing special, air conditioning did not work very well. Very clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok. Room was large enough for our family of 4. Close to everything.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Maxim. 4 of us stayed in their quad room. It was very clean and the location could not have been better. It is a small room by American standards but was just fine for the little amount of time we stayed in the room. Bathtub was a little small and awkward but water pressure and temperature was just fine. Breakfast was good, breads, yogurt, cereal. Would certanly reccomend it as it was a reasonable price and perfectly situated in the city. The front desk reccomended great resteraunts and were very helpful with all questions. Internet was a bit spotty but for us on a family vacation it was no big deal. A/C was great.

The location of the hotel was close to everything - the Duomo, Accademia, Uffizi. We had a quad room for our family. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was quick, easy and tasty. Definitely would stay here again.

clean and staff have good English, breakfast is awful but the coffee is fine from a machine you make it yourself. There was never really anyone on had to ask for assistance with the machine, the staff just wander around replenishing, if they see you in trouble they will of course help but you have to wait and normally figure it out yourself. The staff at breakfast did not speak any English. I didn't mind at all its there country, I'm just mentioning. I had coffee and left and went to have breakfast at a local nearby cafe. There are plenty, the best thing about this hotel is its location, for sightseeing, walking distance to train (15 or 20), restaurants cafes, and shopping. The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in my life and I had to walk sideways and jump on bed to get things. It is I truly believe a closet they put a bed in. I'm still horrified they use it as a room. Im glad I was only staying one night as it would not have been comfortable at all. The hotel itself is over a Disney store, it occupies one floor of a building and another hotel has another floor. Reception closes as 1am and you are given a code for the door from that time. If you forget your code you are screwed. Check out was 10am which was terrible I think, if your on holiday and want to sleep in, no chance you must be up, showered, fed and packed and gone by 10am. This is something they should change defiantly. Basically I paid a high price for a closet to sleep in and only was in the hotel less than 12 hours as I arrived at night from Milan.

We stayed at this hotel in May 2013. The personnel were wonderful - very helpful & friendly. The breakfast was easy with different varieties of things from which you can choose. We drove our car there (not a good idea). With the assistance of the hotel staff, our car was picked up by a local garage and store until the end of our visit.

The hotel is in the very middle of the historic downtown area. You are 2 minute walk away from teh massive Duomo and less 3 minutes away from the Piazza delle Signorie - with Palazzo Vecchio.

We had a great stay!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the rear are much quieter, though one would have no view worth having from those rooms.
