You just can't go to Florence and not see David. It's simply magnificent! You are now allowed to take photos which had been forbidden only a little while ago. Do yourself a favor and get tix in advance.

“Even though you know this sculpture - wow”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

You've probably see hundreds of photographs nevertheless it is dramatic and really worth a visit. It was nice to do it with a guide too.

One thing photographs don't convey is the dramatic presentation of the statue. It is really gives you pause once you turn the corner and see the statue at the end of the hall under the dome.

“Brilliantly done gallery, perfect size”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Just the right amount to enjoy here, apart from the amazing David. Incredible unfinished Michaelangelo statues, and a really interesting little wing of musical instruments. The museum is busy but well laid out and beautifully designed, not some dusty old palace.
