“Delightful Family-Owned B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2011

We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our trip and returned at the end for two more nights. Hotel Casci was a wonderful place to come "home" to at the end of each day in Florence. This family owned establishment is delightful....excellent service, charming rooms, quiet and delicious breakfasts.

Room Tip: Ask for a restaurant recommendation for dinner. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and I took second honeymoon trip to Florence last month and spent 6 full days there. Paulo and Pierre and the other staff know everything there is to know about Florence and provided us with excellent service, from the morning breakfast, to tourist info, to great care of our rooms, etc. Can't imagine a better place to stay in Florence, and only two blocks from the center of everything!

This is a good choice of hotel in Florence. Easy to find, and a short walk from the railway station and the Duomo. The hotel is on the 2nd floor up a tiny lift. Unprepossessing, but the room was good, small with a lobby and a nice bathroom.
The hotel is well managed by what looks like a family. A small breakfast room by Reception area, but very attentive and friendly.
It's expensive, but what isn't in Florence.
Free wifi is a plus.

Hotel Casci is in an excellent location, approximately a block away from both the Duomo and from L'Academia but quiet and relaxed. Rooms are furnished quite simply, but pleasant and with everything you need. Breakfasts very good, good chance you will sit with other guests and have a chat about where to go and what to see. Hotel family run, hosts all very helpful.

In a perfect location for visiting all of Florence, the owners could not have made us feel more welcome. They booked us opera tickets and restaurants and even found some oil to help mend our squeaky suitcase wheels. Rooms were quiet and well equipped and the free wifi was very useful. Owners/staff created an war, frendly atmosphere that added to the relaxed family feel. They knew and loved their city and seemed to genuinely enjoy looking after their guests. Strongly recommended.

We stayed here for two nites in late August, 2011 in room 15. The room was away from the street, quiet, very large (for Italian hotels) and clean. It's centrally located to all the sites you want to see. We forgot to book ahead to see the Uffitzi and the David, but the gentleman at the desk was able to book us a tour (which is totally worth the money by the way) to both, the one to Uffitzi within an hour of us checking in!!! He also gladly made dinner reservations for us one evening as well. We were always greeted upon return asking how our day was and making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was very good and overall, we were very happy with our stay here. Keep in mind, this is not a fancy hotel, but we are not the kind of people that need that

We traveled with 2 young kids in tow. The hotel owners are warm, friendly and really go out of their way to be helpful. At the end of our stay, our kids fell sick and Paolo (co-owner) very kindly helped us call an English-speaking doctor in.

Decor and furnishing in the rooms and hotel main area may be basic, but everything worked and was clean. Quad room was spacious.

Location is good, just 15 minutes from the Florence SMN train station (10 minutes if you walk briskly) and less than 5 minutes from the Duomo.
