My wife and I have just spent 4 nights at the Casci hotel from 10-14th May on our first visit to Florence.
The hotel is very conveniently located and easy to find. All the main attractions are 10 minutes walk away or less. We kept saying to each other "how long will it take to the Uffizi gallery, to the Ponte Vechio, to Piazza Croce?" The time really was about 10 minutes or less from the Casci to most places of interest.
There is a good choice of restaurants nearby.
Our room (26) was a good size and spotlessly clean, including the bathroom and bedding. Double glazing meant it was quiet and shutters helped to block out light (very effective too).
The bathroom was large with a bath and shower over.
breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice breads, meats, cheese, fresh fruit, even boiled eggs cooked to order.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Would certainly recommend!
