“Fantastic Location, Fantastic People, Fantastic Hotel”
Reviewed 1 March 2009

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Casci for a week from Saturday to Saturday in February 2009. Everything about the hotel was absolutely perfect. We followed the route to the hotel given on the hotels website and we didn't get lost. They were expecting us and knew who we were as soon as we came through to reception without us even saying anything.

The location is perfect for sightseeing; it is really close to everything you could possibly want to see and close to the train station. There are lots of restaurants close by. Overall the location could not be any better.

The staff are probably the friendliest people you will ever meet. Every time we bumped into them they were nice and cheerful and asked how our day had gone. You always got the impression they genuinely cared about your stay. They booked tickets for us, after I had emailed and asked.

The breakfast is perfect, I am a big breakfast person and like to fill up before setting off for a full days sightseeing. There were two types of cereal, toast, boiled eggs, fruit, and croissants. They even have green tea. They are there at breakfast ensuring everyone is fine. The breakfast area is large enough for all guests and you never feel like you are cramped.

Our room was fantastic as well; we had a shower and a large corner bath which my wife loved. There is no noise at night and we were usually fast asleep for 21:00. The room was very large and comfortable.

There is free internet access in the reception area which is useful.

When you factor in the price per night and all of the above this is easily one of the best places to stay in Florence. We had a great stay in Florence of which the Hotel Casci played a large part.

We have recently spent a marvellous few days in Florence made perfect by the warm welcome we received at Hotel Casci. Our triple room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the standard of cleanliness was very high. Carla (who runs the hotel with her son and grandson) personally helped to ensure we had a delicious and varied buffet breakfast. All this, together with its proximity to the Duomo 150 yards away, means that we would strongly recommend it to anyone.

This hotel was in a central location of Florence. It's a family hotel, and it's apparent the whole family contributes to its success. We had excellent rooms, and the service was great from the moment we arrived. We were well informed as to the city's highlights. I even needed a doctor and the grandmother insisted I should go to the hospital, but we agreed she could call a doctor instead. I was grateful because the doctor was there and under an hour had sorted me.

The breakfasts were wonderful, and the hotel provided complimentary wireless internet access. On our departure the hotel stored our bags, and organised taxis for our onward journey.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel very recently and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and location for the price. I won't repeat the same compliments previous travelers have made: Minutes to the Duomo, great breakfast buffet, spacious and clean rooms, pleasing room decor, big bathrooms, Internet service, loan of DVDs, etc. They are all true. It was, however, the service and the friendliness of the staff that were exceptional. Staff were helpful with any concerns and questions. They readily had restaurant recommendations that very closely matched requests, and even offered to make reservations. They also followed up to make sure the restaurant met expectations. The Lombardi family, which runs the hotel, are sincerely interested in ensuring your stay is pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Florence.

Hotel Casci is one of the friendliest, most accommodating places we stayed in our entire Italy trip. I would go back in a heartbeat! The staff was amazing and helpful, the rooms were spacious and lovely, and the breakfast just can't be beat--so many wonderful options. The owners and workers were some of the most kind-hearted people who would do anything to ensure you a great stay and adventure in Florence. Thank you so much!

Wonderful! My two friends and I stayed at Hotel Casci for 4 days during our trip to Italy. First of all the service was excellent. I called the night before our arrival and asked if they could make reservations for us at the Uffizi and Galleria dell'Academia. They said they would try their best, but it would be quite difficult. Upon our arrival, they told us that they were able to get us tickets for the day before our departure! Perfect! Also, on the day we left we woke up quite late and had missed breakfast. To our surprise, when we entered the breakfast area, they had saved three spots for us and had kept the food out since they knew we were leaving. So thoughtful.

Location: Great, down the street from the Duomo, the Galleria dell'Academia

Rooms: Clean, Cute, Air-conditioned, Spacious bathroom :)
+they have internet
Overall, nice to stay at a place that was in no way a hotel chain where every guest is just one of hundreds. Will go back soon!
