“Friendly, comfortable, and centrally located.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2009

My husband, my 11-year-old daughter, and I stayed at the Hotel Casci for 5 nights in June 2009. We had a triple room (3 beds) that was very comfortable, with a roomy bathroom. We spent a couple days touring Florence, then did day trips--a guided bus tour (set up by the hotel) to Siena and San Giminangno one day, and another day we took the train on our own to Cinque Terre. Florence was a good base for these trips. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, with wonderful coffee and cappuccino. Very quiet room. The location was walking distance to everything that we wanted to see. The hotel is up on the third floor, and the entrance on ground level is rather dismal and on a busy street, but once you get up via elevator to the hotel it's a wonderful, quiet, meandering place. The staff reserved our tickets for the Uffizi ahead of time when we asked by email and helped us with other plans. Very family-friendly place! A computer is always on in the lobby for guests to access the internet--free, unlimited access as long as someone else doesn't want it. We really appreciated that!

We (2 adults and 2 teenage children) stayed at Hotel Casci for 5 nights. We had a wonderful stay.

The Hotel is on the bus line, and can be reached using the bus system from the train station for Euro 1.20 per person. We took a cab from our other hotel near the Ponte Vecchio with 5 pieces of luggage. The distance was less than a mile but it cost 17 Euros, kind of a shock. I would suggest buses rather than cabs in Florence. But I digress!

The Hotel is located on a busy street a few blocks form a small bus terminal at San Marco in one direction and the Duomo in the other. Its proximity to the bus stop makes it easy to grab a bus for a day trip to Fiesole or elsewhere. There are a few supermarkets nearby. Several of the top restaurants on TA are within walking distance, especially I' Toscano and Osteria All' Antico Mercato.

There is an elevator at ground level. This is a family owned Hotel and they were all very pleasant and helpful. There is a sitting area next to the front desk with a computer with free internet access(also free wi-fi) and beverages to purchase. The breakfast area is on the other side of the desk.

We had a family suite with a queen bed and a separate small adjoining room with 2 twin beds. The suite was at the very back of the Hotel and extremely quiet. The room was clean and spacious with 2 closets and plenty of storage nooks and hooks. The beds were very comfortable. There was a small refrigerator. The bathroom was a good size with triangle tub/shower. The room was air conditioned which worked well. The AC started dripping inside one night while they were there, and they fixed it quickly. The room had a DVD player and there are movies to borrow at the front desk.

Breakfast was delicious with a large variety, and everyone found something to enjoy. The cappuccino was good.

I would definitely stay here again.

We spent two nights at Hotel Casci in July. The quad room we stayed in is very spacious with fully-functioning air conditioner. There is free wi-fi. The staff were very helpful in recommending good restaurants and in providing directions. They also helped us make advanced booking for the museums. Breakfast was great. Overall we're very satisfied with our stay - thank you!!!

My two daughters and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Casci on a recent trip to Italy. We were there for 4 days/3 nights and had a wonderful time. Paolo and his family treat like family and they were such a joy to stay with. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and the room was spacious and very clean. Another big advantage is the location being a short walk to all of the major sites. I would highly recommend this Hotel and if we are ever in Florence again we will certainly stay at the Hotel Casci.

Our experience with Hotel Casci was very positive. The hotel is situated between Accademia and Duomo .. very central. The room was simply furnished, nice size, effective a/c, spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Its bathroom was 5 star marble with very large towels, large tub and recently renovated. No street noise at all. Breakfast was included. Family run. It felt more like a large B&B then a hotel. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast (cereal, pasteries, rolls, etc) included. WiFi worked well. Elevator.

I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Casci. My family of five adults and our two year old grandchild stayed in one of Hotel Casci's family room. We were very comfortable in our quiet space. The service was impeccible from their generous and knowledgable staff who will even make reservations for you at the Accademia and Uffizi Museums by request. The location was perfect and within walking distance from the Duomo and many shops and restaurants. They also had a very nice breakfast. We will all surely go back again if we get the chance.

Traveling through Italy we spent 3 nights in this charming hotel. A perfect spot as it was quiet with clean rooms, a fairly large bathroom and comfortable a bed. Close to shopping and restaurants. The staff are very pleasant and willing to answer questions/provide directions. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station, around the corner from the Accademia and within walking distance to everything! It is quite easy to walk just about everywhere in Florence! We would definitely stay here again.
