Don’t ask about the square itself. Went here end of June, and there was instrumental music in the evening, and I completely felt for it. Didn’t get the sightseeing, but loved the

Massive crowds in the day as you'd expect.......so go late at night and it's wonderful.Plenty of entertainment during early evening but still a bit too crowded for me.

Beautiful sculptures all around the square, some might be duplicates but still very impressive.
The stature of Neptune is currently a restoration project. According to the surrounding information boards the plan is to unveil the fountain anew on 10 December 2018; the same day it was originally revealed in 1574.
According to history the people of Florence thought the statue was a waste of marble when it was originally unveiled, today a remarkable different story.
The atmosphere is electric while walking in the square filled with people from all over the world.
Be respectful about others taking photos, they are when you taking yours, everyone will get there turn.

One of the more busier piazzas in Florence (besides the Duomo piazza which is even busier) as it is a gathering place near alot of the sights. Also a nice place to stop for an afternoon bottle of wine or lunch as there are quiet a few cafes located in the piazza

Great piazza - statues left and right (some might be duplicates of the real ones but that didn't make it any less amazing) and in the evening there is almost always musicians around! This is the Italian culture I was looking for!
Be sure to stop by the outdoor Uffizi Gallery/piazza while you're here - it's right around the corner and is really neat!
