Excellent hotel and superb service! Also a great location within walking distance to the Duomo. We would definitely stay here again! Stayed here with our three kids. Excellent facilities even a beautiful patio to hang out on!

I liked this hotel so much that I returned for a second time in two years and was even more impressed by the care with which they took. My luggage had not made it to Florence and Paolo and his team were extremely helpful. Our room was lovely, even had a gracious outdoor terrace; I was happy to come back to the room after long days out and about.

Hotel Morandi Alla Crocetta was a great place to stay while in Florence. The location and hotel itself were quiet and within walking distance of all the tourist sites and great restaurants. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was adequate and very good. We would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if we return to Florence in the future. Be aware, however, that the hotel lobby is on the second floor of a walk-up, so you must be able to walk stairs to stay here.

Great room with period furniture and art. Nice sized room for 3 people. Helpful and accommodating staff. Very nice breakfast. Good location near Accademia, Easy to find from the Duomo. We would definitely return.

Room Tip: We paid extra for a room with a terrace on a courtyard.

Stayed 6 nights on first Florentine trip in 10 yrs. Was a convent. Furniture is wooden, rustic, and room was sizable with a sofa and large double bed. Area carpets too in room. Bathroom spotless. On a side street that was dead quiet at night. About 10 mins walk to Duomo. San Marco is practically around the corner. Breakfast was plentiful each morning, served in a small delightful room with paintings of rural scenery and radio playing classical music. Reception staff very helpful with recommendations and directions, and plenty of local papers and travel mags to peruse. Downstairs, a beautiful library sitting area with fireplace. Throughout, there are original works of art from paintings to sculptures. Even some wall frescoes from the original convent. WiFi was free and trouble-free. Did not need AC, so I did not test the system fully. Overall, a fine hotel and very satisfying stay. Many thanks to Paolo for getting me a room with a sofa as I had requested on booking.

Room Tip: Room 28. Dead quiet and sitting space.

When you arrive do not be daunted by the graffiti, unfortunately Florence is covered up in it. You do have to climb a flight of stairs and ring a bell to enter. There is a beautiful entrance. We were shown the room we booked (a regular double) and shown an upgraded room for €30 per night more. We took the upgrade. The room had cool antique metal head and foot boards. The floors were wood in a herringbone pattern. This room was enormous with a tub, mini fridge, hair dryer, desk, wifi…all antique but with modern amenities. Our window looked out onto the courtyard.
My husband gets up earlier than I do and he would go to the breakfast room and Mauricio would set a tray with coffee and juice for him every morning. When I got around to being able to face the world we would have full breakfast in the breakfast area. Mauricio would make me a cappuccino. There was cornetto, yogurt, juices, breads, cereals, cheeses, meats all served by a wonderful Mauricio. We met a couple that has mutual friends while having breakfast.

Since this is a converted convent you do feel the need to speak in “hushed” tones at first. The history is fascinating. The location is great. We walked everywhere. Arno was 20-25 minutes being the furthest point from the hotel. Accademia is right there. You should pre-book your tickets to Accademia or Uffizi, as the queues are long!

Acquacotta is a restaurant 5 minutes walking distance and is awesome, again reserve, best tiramisu on the planet! There is not a lot of nightlife but after a full day, we did not have the energy. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again. If only I could have brought Mauricio home with us!

Room Tip: Go for the upgraded room
