Gorgeous view of Florence! The hotel is a little sparse of furnishings, no restaurant but breakfast is available and dinner can be arranged on site for you. You are away from everything but taxis come quickly and are easy to find for your return trip.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review. When you write that "you are away from everything" I trust you mean it in a positive way. That is what Bellosguardo is all about. We are a ten minute taxi ride from the centre of Florence and yet in the country. After a day amongst the madding crowds and noise of the city it is such a relief to find the peace and silence of our hotel.

It is always wonderful, it never disappoints: staying here is SO special. We were tired after
a busy conference in, and travelling from, Rome, but as soon as we arrived at the magnificent front entrance, and entered the illuminated frescoed Hall, the magic took hold! We were given a superb room in the Tower which has a beautiful four-poster bed, an ante-room, and a splendidly equipped magnificent bathroom. It is just the place to go for a totally relaxing, stress-relieving time. There is nowhere to compare it with as it is quite unique.

Room Tip: Every room is unique, and the views are breathtaking

We planned this stop in the middle of our trip after visiting Rome and Florence. It was a welcome change of pace. Breakfast outside on the patio overlooking the field and hills, day trips to Sienna, Montepulciano, Cortona, and wineries. The staff was great at helping us plan our 3 day itinerary, and made reservations for us for one of the winery tours. We had a rental car for this portion of our trip and found it rather easy to get around with the GPS provided. If you want dinner at this villa, just let them know before you leave for your day excursion. A truly special place that we hope to return to!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Campanile (bell tower) room. It had beamed ceilings, a couch and table with chair...

My mom, sister and I had a wonderful stay at Torre Di Bellosguardo. We took a cooking class with Ana and learned some great Italian cooking. The place gives a great small family, intimate attention to their guests. It is gorgeous with wonderful rooms and nice gardens to walk around. Very close to Florence! I would highly recommend staying here and I wish we could have stayed longer!

What a magnificent view, from a magnificent historic building on top of a breathtaking hill. It is worth getting past the hurdle of finding the place - even with a GPS or Waze it's a struggle to find. Perhaps the thing to do is get a taxi driver to lead the way through the steep climb and the hairpin bends in the narrow walled streets. But is worth it.
They have some odd service as its not a full service hotel - at times just a one-man-service - but the concierge can magic up a cheese plate and great local wine out of hours.
They also had a problem with mosquitoes in the main lobby so pack the deet.
All said though, great rooms with huge beds, bathrooms and even huger views are worth the minor inconveniences. Its a special place to stay, and quite an honor being there.

We stayed there for my birthday last weekend - simply to say I have never stayed in a finer place. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful - sumptuous views of the city, incredibly friendly staff, stunning villa - was a rare treat.

Totally unique location. Totally unique boulding. Torre di Bellosguardo offers an intense and historic atmosphere. The hotel is located just outside Florence. You can walk to the center along a small path in olivefields or grab a taxi and pay 9 euro.
The place will for sure stay in my mind and I would come back any time. I loved it.
