We stayed at this hotel for one night in August 2018. It was in a great location, nearby the train station which was important for us. The room was small-ish but functional. Bathroom was modern as well and the room was very clean. Breakfast in the morning was very good, with lots of options. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. We had a great stay!

This hotel was fantastic! The staff were friendly and very helpful; the rooms clean, comfortable, and very, very quiet. The daily (free) breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of fresh food and beverages. The hotel was well marked and easy to find - its central location (pun intended) made getting to all the top sites and restaurants a 5-15 minute walk. You can walk out the door and see the 'Duomo di Firenze' immediately to your left. I really enjoyed my stay and always felt relaxed and ready for a full day of enjoying the amazing city of Florence.

The hotel is situated 5minutes from the train station and 3minutes from the dome. Its location it's unquastionable perfect, it iy close to everything that you want to visit in Florence. The bathroom was gourges and clean, the rooms so-so. A renovation wouldnt hurt. The room wasn't "de'l epoca" it was simply old. The bad was good, we had a good sleep.Another great thing about the hotel was the breakfast. There was a menu from which you could order anything without an extra charge. Obviously you will spend more time until you order arrives, so we only tried it 2x during our 5days stay. Freshly squezeed orange juice and milkshakes are available only upon order.
Now come the issues: Upon our arrival we felt surprisingly unwelcome. We arrived late because our flight was delayed and receptionist wasnt really happy, and she checked our reservation(which was already paid) with disbelief. Ee might not have been dressed too elegantly after a long day on the road..but still..we never felt so unwelcomed. All the other receptionist were really kind and welcoming.
Another problem was the street behind the hotel, it was being used by people for things I would not have liked to witness. Our room was overlooking this backstreet. Also this small street is being used for bring in supplies to the hotel. Our window was opened by the maid and because we dis not observe (the windows are very tall and a curtain was covering it to hide the ugliness of the backstreet) and we woke up to a very scary noise at about 6:30. It was really unfortunate. Luckily we closed the window the next day and we did not wake up to the noise.

Dear guest, first of all let us thank you for your stay, we are pleased to know that you have appreciated our ideal location, the comfort of the bathroom and our new high quality matresses. We are sorry to realize that the room did not meet your expectations. Nevertheless, we would like to underline that our rooms were actually recentlly renoveted and all the furniture are high quality handcraft products. In any case, we would like to remind that the reception staff is available 24/24 in order to solve any issue and we would have proposed to see another room according to your preferences. Rick Steves listed this as a recommendation but a bit overpriced. We found it slightly higher than other places we stayed but with a larger room & bathroom. We felt it worth it because it was the best choice for a short walk from train station & to main city sites. Except for omelets & crepes, breakfast was self-service with an array of choices and plenty of good coffee. The staff at the desk in the lobby helped us find great restaurant choices for the type of dinner we were seeking, meaty one night, light seafood on another. We had an evening train back to Rome, and not only could we store our baggage after checkout, we were able to spend an hour before our departure relaxing in the spacious air-conditioned lobby. (We had done a lot of walking in the heat, and my husband did not want to see one more church or piece of art!) Would stay there again.

Stayed for 6 nights in July, Lovely breakfast with great staff, topping up the food, and checking we were ok. Location is amazing, right in the centre, and we had a room with views of Duomo Dome, beautiful. Hotel also a minute walk to the beautiful Florence Cathedral, the most breathtaking we have ever seen. Restaurants and cafes in abundance, and every one we went to the food was spot on! Lovely walk to the Ponte Vecchio and river Arno, lovely stroll through the jewellery shops to get there. We had an afternoon in the Boboli Gardens and the views of the city were amazing. All in all we would stay here again. What we did find that we have never seen before in a hotel was the system they had to go in and clean your room, was when key in pulled out in room the green light comes on outside your door and turns red for not to come in when you are in, giving you privacy. It was very hot in Florence whilst we were there and although we carried water and wore hats, I did have slight sunstroke. Make sure you are well protected. We had a day trip to Pisa, which was a lovely place to visit, we went by train and found it easy.
