Owner description: Palazzo della Signoria, better known as Palazzo Vecchio, has been the symbol of the civic power of Florence for over seven centuries. Among the works of art safeguarded in the museum: the Cortile di Michelozzo; Michelangelo’s celebrated Victory in the Salone dei Cinquecento; Donatello’s Judith in the Sala dei Gigli; the private rooms of the Medici court and among these the marvellous Cappella di Eleonora, the chapel with paintings by Agnolo Bronzino.

“Great museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

Fantastic visit to the Palazzo Vecchio - many richly decorated rooms, esp. the ceilings. We went inside about 5 pm on a Sunday, and it was very quiet - not many people so were able to enjoy. The entrance fee was 10 EUR per person. Well worth the visit.

“Amazing”

This is a must see attraction in Florence. You may grow tired of the religious art but it still is worth a visit. I loved the paintings of 13th century popes posing with the baby Jesus.

“A must to visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2014

One of the "must sees" in Florence. Fabulous paintings, easy to get into. There is a lift tucked in around the side of the cloak room if you are unable to manage the stairs. No back packs allowed inside.

“Boring and too big”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2014

Skip if you can. No outstanding masterpieces here, unlike the Uffizi next door. The courtyard with the fountain and angel on it is much nicer and it's free!
