Hubby and I stayed there Oct. 11 and 12. The room and bath were the most lovely out of 5 hotels we stayed in during our stay in Italy. The bed was by far the most comfortable. I loved that they used a down comfie with a duvet cover. None of the other beds we stayed in Italy give comfort to the top covers. We stayed in hotels that were 4 or 5 star ratings.
Paulsen and Beatrice at the front desk were fanatastic aiding us in local arrangements and assisting us in a rental car return. Both were extremely focused on taking care of the guests. Paulsen loves his job and it shows. (He should go to our Tuscany hotel and teach them about customer service)
The hotel is in a perfect location to explore historic Florence. However, it will not be found by your GPS extacly. It is near the Duomo about a block, but tucked down a street (st. Elisabetta). If you looked down the street you would not think a hotel could be down the block. It sits back in a very tiny square. I would recomend if you get a car rental that will pick up or deliver to you. Better yet, do not have a car any where in proper Florence. Also, make sure you have extact directions or a cab to get you to the hotel.
Breakast was very good -One of the etter ones we had. Several great restaurants per Trip Advisor within walking distance.
I loved Florence and loved the HB.
