“A very good location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

Feb 2014- This is a great hotel as a base to see Florence.
It is 5 mins walk from the train station and all sights are a very short walk from the hotel.
Staff very helpful and friendly.Room clean, spacious and comfortable.Breakfast good.
The hotel is very beautiful - the one drawback is maybe that, because the building is old - no double glazed windows for example - and because the street is narrow the room can be a little noisy at night. However, would recommend Hotel Paris highly.

We were absolutely thrilled with this hotel! We were a 5 minute walk to the Duomo and tons of great shopping and restaurants. We were only 5 minutes or so walking to the Uffizzi museum and the Acadamia also. We travelled with our 2 small kids and were given a huge room with 2 large double beds with plenty of space for everyone. The bathroom was large and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this tour through Italy. The staff was very attentive and helpful to us. We really enjoyed this beautiful old hotel and can't recommend it more highly. We will definitely stay again when back in Florence!

Room Tip: A room with 2 beds is plenty of space for a family of 4 in these large rooms!

This beautiful hotel was once a palace which means you're surrounded by gorgeous tapestries, painted ceilings and sheer gorgeousness everywhere. The room was really comfortable with tv and mini bar. The bathroom was selflessly clean and a good shower and deep bath. The hotel staff were wonderful -cleaners, waiting staff and reception. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the train station and 2 minutes from the Duomo but is set on a small and therefore quiet street. Some reviews have said this hotel is shabby but it isn't at all - it's immaculately clean and beautiful.

I was in hotel Paris twice, last January and this year. I spent here 6 days and again received great pleasure to live in the hotel-museum. Mural on the ceiling, stained glass,furniture,carpets...you find yourself in another time...Renaissance .

Room Tip: 222 -was very quieter

Paris is a beautiful hotel, full of Italian spirit and antique furniture! We spent here 3 days and were just amazed by the size of ceiling, beauty of dinig hall and everything. Situated almost in the center of the city, it gives a full flavor of Florence life... I think, our next visit to Florence will be at the same hotel =)

Overall experience was good. The front desk staff was, for lack of a better word, confusing. The same person who talked to you well a couple hours ago would act as though I was completely bothering them the next time and all the different people had the same inconsistent behaviour. I found that a bit odd :)

Other than that, the location is fantastic. Could walk to the Dome, Galleria, Piazza Signoria and all of that. It was close to the station and all the tour pick-up/drop-off places. I can appreciate that it is an older building and older decor and I actually enjoy that - however, I think it can be updated while still keeping the same quality, I think. Our room smelled really musty and the carpets and drapes could do with some updating. The room was clean for the most part. The bathroom was really small (the smallest of all the hotels we stayed during our 10 day Italy trip) and really needed to get an exhaust in. It smelled - ranging from bad to really bad and the shower had issues and just dark and dingy. Maybe it was just our room.

Breakfast room and breakfast and staff in the breakfast serving area were very gracious and wonderful.

It will not be my first choice if I were to go back to Florence again - but I would not completely cross it off my list either.

Stayed May 2012!

Awesome location for tourists located above the shopping strip in the heart of Florence. The hotel was spotless the rooms are as well and decorated in the theme of the city of the Renaissance. We stayed top floor with a large window facing the Dome and overlooking the city simply beautiful. The workers were extremely kind and top notch. I have nothing to say negative about this place! Thank you!

Room Tip: Stay top floor facing the city!!!!
