In the midst of touring in Florence, this is a haven from the thundering crowds. Wonderful food (sandwiches, wonderful wines, desserts - all local food sourced ingredients!
Livio and Bianca (owners) are very nice people who are very knowledgeable about which meats are best with which cheezes, which of a variety of condiments - so you end up "eating Italian" and finding totally new tastes to enjoy.
They also have a large selection of craft beers, and have "tasting evenings" with craft beer and meats / cheezes!
Located some blocks north west from the Duomo beside the main market, it is an easy find. Well worth the break in your vacation!

My wife and I went for a wine, cheese and olive oil tasting at this lovely little establishment. What was previously a fishmongers, this has been totally revamped and brought back to it's former splendour (check out the marble sinks). Our host (a sommelier by trade and owner) was very accommodating, knowledgeable & friendly. We tried several different oils, then on to the wines, with a small selection of meats and cheeses to show how the wines can be matched. The majority of the products we tried were locally sourced or produced, which our host is quite rightly championing.

An interesting and entertaining time was had be everyone and we can definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to get to know the local wines, cheeses and oil.

The owner also produces his own IPA, which I can certainly recommend.

We did a wine and food tour that was held in this lovely little restaurant. Loved this tasting, the sommelier has a real love of local produce and wants to share this with you. The tastings of wine and food were a good size and the way they are matched really enhances the best in both the food and wine. Lovely way to spend time in Florence, and would highly recommend this place. If I am ever lucky enough to come back, I will defiantly come back again.

After a 3 hour bike ride along the bike paths of Florence , we stopped at this quaint place for brunello and sandwiches. Done fresh on the spot, with little fanfare , a must for a quick bite.

My wife and I participated in a Wine, Cheese and Olive Oil Tasting at this small shop owned by a husband and wife team. There were only 4 people in our tasting. The husband picked 4 wines and cheeses and meats to accompany the tasting. The choice of wine and cheeses depends on the day. On this day, he picked 4 winners. We had participated in several tastings while in Italy this trip but none of the previous tasting presented the quality of wines at reasonable prices that we tasted today. The meat and cheeses were perfect accompaniment to the wines. Also was a discussion on the Tuscany Virgin Olive Oil and there difference in tastes with 2 samples. The other participants agreed that this was a must-do event. The shop also serves food. We had a couple of sandwiches which were very tasty. Finally, we left with a bottle of wine from the tasting.
