“First Class!”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

I was visiting in Bologna and decided to take a day trip to Firenze (so easy, 35 minutes by train).
A friend emailed his friend at Hotel Atlantic Palace and I was set.

I was greeted warmly by Francesco and David upon arrival. Those first few moments can make you feel so good and start everything off right. The hotel location is convenient to the train station and all those wonderful sights you must see (patience with the crowds). The street was a bit busy, but you would never know it inside the hotel. Quiet and calm. My room was generous in size. The best hotel bathroom I have seen in a while, Wonderful firm beds (I have been "airbnb ing" for quite a few weeks ... this room was a real treat). Closet space, a very classy writing desk, good climate control. At first the internet seemed slow, but I just moved to a second desk in the room and all was fine.

A fine hotel like this is just such good comfort after the demanding work of touring Italy (I know, life is tough). Thanks again to Francesco and David for making me feel so welcome.

Room Tip: My room (181) was quiet and quite large.

On a recent 6 day trip to Florence my husband and I stayed at the Atlantic Palace hotel. We chose this hotel based on reviews and it's proximity to both train and bus station as we were using Florence as our home base for the 6 days we were in Tuscany. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet even though it was located on the street side of the hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful, accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay in Florence memorable. On a return trip to Florence we will most definitely stay at the Atlantic Palace.

Read some of the reviews before we booked,so asked for higher floor to escape the busy street below, what a view looking over the city with all the hustle and bustle below, just how we imagined it would be,the hotel situated at the end of leather market, has the great feel of a lively city florence is.
We would like to thank Francesco for making our holiday so wonderful, infact all the staff from the bell boy to the breakfast staff to the very, very helpfull reception staff.
This is a good choice.

Room Tip: If like quietness, ask for the top floor

Mixed feelings, located near the train station it is quite difficult to find the way in, and the parking price is more than a 30e a day... The reception room is nice and the service is very helpful. However the rooms have nothing special, large but would need some refurbishment. Breakfast is really weak, quite a shame for Tuscany.

My husband and I spent 4 days in Florence and wanted to stay close to the main station as Florence would be the last stop before we headed home and it means we would have heavy luggages to drag from the hotel to station. This hotel location is the best! Only 5 minutes walk from the main station (Firenze SM Novella). Also, it was a minute away from the street market and central market where you can buy a lot of things from souvenirs to fresh pastas! The markets literally right on the corner of the hotel. Don't worry about the noise though, the market closes before 7pm. We got the map (which was really helpful for us!) from the hotel staff when we checked in. Many good restaurants around, which means good tummy! Breakfast was good as well, love the mushrooms and croissants! I would have given 5 stars if not for the noise that other guests' made from the room next door as we shared balcony (all nights and early morning they like to sit around on the balcony) and the noise when people dragging their luggages on the hall around 5 am in the morning (the wall is not soundproof).

Room Tip: We got the room that doesn't face the street so it was pretty quiet. No view, but no noise from...

Excellente service, always smiles from the staff, clean room with a nice size, but very hard bed. Also little noise insulation in the walls, so I heard far to well my neighbours bathroom or closet visits, as well as from the room above with sounds of shoes and lavatory visits. Very good location if you are on foot, but heavy traffic slows you down by car.
