Had a great tour with Constance. It was the highlight of our weekend in Florence. She is informative, friendly and FUN! Toured with our 21 year old son and his two friends. Constance is a great story teller/historian and kept the conversation current and engaging for everyone. When we needed a slice of pizza or a gelato she knew just where to stop. We felt the experience with Constance was well worth the money. Learned so much! She also helped with a dinner recommendation after the tour that we truly enjoyed.

We booked a half day walking tour of Florence with Freya for ourselves and our two boys ages 14 and 11. Beyond a doubt our time with Freya was the best 4 hours we spent in Italy. We'd not been to Florence before, and were by no means experts on the history of the Italian renaissance. Freya made the past come to life for us - and the way she engaged our kids was impressive and welcome. She had two average video game addicted American boys hanging on her every word. What they (all of us!) learned in our half day with her could never be gained in a classroom. Freya also had great advice on other things we'd want to see and do in Florence, great places to eat and where to find the best gelato in town! She was engaging, charming and quite wonderful.

We usually book private tours that tailor to what we would like to see and get more personalized service and information. We booked a private tour with Freya's in Florence and another company in Rome. They were day and night different in the service they providing. To start with Freya's rep met us downtown at a church so we had to figure out how to get there with no instructions. The rep was friendly enough and extremely knowledgable but somewhat cold and stand-offish. Also the rep was changed on us at the last minute so we don't know if it would have been different with the original rep assigned to us.

The tour lasted a full 4 hours and we saw a lot in that time and were well informed. She had to pick up her son though so could not go over the allotted time. We were left with general instructions how to get back to taxi stand or tram station and had to find our way through the whining streets of Florence on our own. Overall it felt rushed, cold, and was did not match other tours we had experiences. We actually had a better time on our own the following days.

We booked a tour with Freya's and were not disappointed. Our guide Sara was on time, extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We did the Ufizzi and Vasarian corridor tour and enjoyed every minute. She coordinated the ticket entry easily and picked a great selection of items for us to enjoy. The booking process is a little slow since you have to email back and forth and I decided to do the paypal rather than try and wire money option which all worked out in the end. Overall, a great family experience.

Friends and I were recently in Florence. We booked 2 private tours through Freya's Florence: the Florence Overture tour on one day and a tour of the Accademia and Uffizi museums/galleries on another day. Freya was our guide for the Overture tour. Freya gave us a wonderful walking tour of the city that included the history, art, and architecture of this beautiful city. Helen was our guide for the galleries. Helen is a painter and was an outstanding guide for these galleries. We appreciated Helen's knowledge about the art and artists as well as her perspectives on the art. These private tours were the highlights of our time in Florence.
