“Better inside that the Duomo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2014

There was no lineup to see the inside when we visited. The gold ceiling is truly spectacular and blows away anything in the Duomo.

The doors outside are also quite amazing. Spend some time just gazing to adsorb the immensity of work that must have been involved in creating them.

beautiful - the frescos and art work inside was simply fantastic, in some ways I found this more beautiful the the large basilica well worth a visit

“Brilliant View of the Battistero”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2014

This place was just fantastic and if you were not spiritual in anyway you would certainly question any thoughts when viewing this place. It was just amazing and a must see. Make sure that you get in early as the crowds are huge.

“Vault to heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2014

Breathtaking as you enter. You will get a stiff neck as you just have to stand for ages staring at the decorated dome interior. Quite outstanding and very unexpected really although the doors to the building which are a work of art in their own right should have told me that the interior would be so rich.
