Was right near our hotel and the train station. There are many beautiful churches in Florence and this was no exception.

The church is beautiful both inside and out. I attended mass in april and it was in italian as expected. My mother asked about being able to bring home holy water from the church and was glared at by a woman who works there but other than that it has an interesting history.

No wait to get in. There was a fee for a ticket unless you were a local, it is a church. The stain glass throughout the entire Basilica is phenomenal. Really should be included in any Must See list for Florence.

The church, the squere and the neighboring streets are out of the main stream of the tourist. It is good to take a breath and still visit amazing places.

Wandering around in here is a delight. It's not too crowded and has the most amazing frescos to see. The cloisters are beautiful
