Aniko Szabo showed my fiancé and I an awesome perspective of what the characters in Dan Brown's, Inferno went through. She gave us a historical background on each of the stops, that by the way are in the novel and then read to us how the characters interacted with these sites. Aniko made us feel comfortable in asking all sorts of question and doubts about the stops. We are not much of a talkative couple, not unless it's about history or on subjects that interest us, and let me tell you we asked and asked away with no problem because we were so interested.

Two of us spent the best part of day with Alessia touring the main attractions in Florence. It might have been possible to do something similar in the time we had available with a map and guidebook but it proved to be so much better being shown around by someone who knew the city well and was able to tell us a little of its long and complex history. We also visited places we would never have thought of going to such as the fantastic food market in the centre of the city. Of course, you will only ever scratch the surface of this fascinating city in one day but with Alessia's guidance we came away thinking we knew Florence quite well and could look forward to returning to discover more in the future.

Together with our friendly guide Alessia we saw the main higlights of Florence in a about two hours. Ideal for older children with a short span of attention.
For our oldest (and myself) the assasins creed setting was a definite plus.
Alessia's knowledge of the game was very good. We decided last minute to take this tour and communication through mail and whatsapp went very smooth.
After the tour we knew our way around and entered some of the sites we were told about. (duomo etc). Due to waiting lines this could not be done during the tour.
Now we are home again (alas!) and i have just put AC II in the PS3.
I'm back in Florence again!
Tip: go by train when youre not iyou dont stay in Florence!

From the moment we were picked up at the port of La Spezia by our driver and guide for the 2 hour drive things were as great as we could hope. Our guide on the drive was excellent and kept us engaged for the entire ride to Florence. They dropped us off to meet our guide in Florence Tatiana. She was fantastic and took us around the city to see all the amazing things Florence has to offer. We were traveling with 3 kids and she kept their attention and was able to make it interesting for them. The information she gave us went far beyond just describing the sites and made them much more interesting that doing it on our own. I can't say enough great things about how wonderful the excursion was and how much we enjoyed our trip. If we make it back to Florence this would be my first call to arrange another tour.

I actually booked this tour on the basis that it was an "Assassin's Creed" tour, a game that our son very much enjoys playing, and I got the recommendation for this company from Trip Advisor. I didn't expect to be very engaged, thinking we would just be looking at the places that feature in the game. However, we had an absolutely brilliant tour round Florence with Tatiana who really brought the whole thing to life and provided information we would never have found in a guide book.

I am not a tour person, far preferring to go off on my own with a guide book, but we got so much more from going round with Tatiana. We were also exceptionally lucky in having Tatiana all to ourselves so we could ask her any questions we wanted, which was the icing on the cake as it were.

By the time we got to the Palazzo Pitti in Oltrarno on the other side of the river, we had very sore feet and were quite hungry. it was almost the end of our allotted tine so we bade farewell to Tatiana with lots of thanks and went off to find a restaurant for lunch.
